Longwei's smirk was replaced with an ugly expression as he asked in a bewildered tone, "How's it possible for you to use Spiritual Sense?"
When Longwei's hand had come in contact with the fake Longmin, he had felt faint fluctuations of what he thought was Spiritual Sense, but by the time he wanted to dodge, a rune had appeared below his feet trapping him in place.
Longwei was a bit skeptical, how could this brother of his use Spiritual Sense when he was only in the Foundation Building realm? And the early stage at that! He should be working on developing his Spiritual Strength just like him.
Spiritual Sense was something only Core Formation cultivators had, compared to Spiritual Strength that a Foundation cultivator has, it's a hundred times better!
Spiritual Strength was inferior because unless there's a medium, it can't leave the body, for example, a blacksmith at the Foundation Building stage can send his Spiritual Strength into a piece of metal and understand its structure to create a better weapon, but even then, his understanding of its inner structure will be blurry and unclear.
However, with a Core Formation's Spiritual Sense, not only can it leave the body of the cultivator with a simple thought, but it also gives the cultivator four extra senses.
A Core Formation blacksmith is able to see, feel, smell, and even hear the metal's structure if he wanted to!
Another benefit Spiritual Sense has, is that it's able to boost the power of a Daoist Magic by gathering Spiritual Qi from the surroundings, and with the addition to the cultivator's Internal Qi, the Daoist Magic would become two or even three times more powerful!
The more Longwei thought about it, the more his face contorted with confusion, rage, and even a hint of jealousy.
'Could it be possible that he entered the Core Formation stage when I went to the Central Continent?'
'Wait!, then doesn't that mean his cultivation speed is even faster than mine?'
'No!, that can't be.'
'Even though his level of comprehension is slightly higher than mine, his cultivation speed is nowhere near as fast as mine is. But, I'm sure those fluctuations were Spiritual Sense, so maybe he really did enter the Core Formation realm within the four months I was away.'
'Should I just go against father and try to enter the Core Formation realm within the next five days?' Longwei became conflicted.
'There's no way I can stand to have such a large gap in our cultivation!....'
If a normal person were to hear Longwei's inner thoughts right now, they would probably curse him and his brother to be demons.
Entering the Core Formation stage within four months?!!
Within Five days?!!
Do you think it's as easy as cooking rice?!!
Some people might not even be able to achieve that cultivation level in their entire lives, but here he was talking about becoming a Core Formation cultivator within five days like it was nothing more than flipping over his palm.
While Longwei was having his inner monologue that would've made anyone speechless, Longmin had reverted back to his refine and scholarly demeanor.
Though, in the eyes of the disciples who saw his fighting style, it looked nothing more than a tiger putting on sheep clothing.
"Granduncle gave me a Heavenly Pallet, that's how I was able to develop Spiritual Sense."
Longmin's answer caused Longwei to snap his head up out of his thoughts and stared at him in a daze.
After a while, when Longmin's response finally sank in, his dazed eyes slowly widen into saucers as an uncontrollable amount of envy poured out of them.
"THAT OLD FOGY ACTUALLY GAVE YOU THE HEAVENLY PALLET?!!"
Longwei's shout echoed in the training grounds and drifted outside. It was so loud that even if you were standing on the peak of the Battle Pavilion mountain you would've still heard it loud and clear.
Longwei's reaction might seem over the top, but it's completely within reason to react like this after knowing that a Heavenly Pallet was given to his brother.
What was a Heavenly Pallet?
It was a pure and condensed form of Spiritual Qi that contains Dao essence, and it's considered to be a rare treasure of heaven and earth, that takes a thousand years to form.
If a Saint realm cultivator were to eat one there would be little to no effect, but if someone in the Sage realm were to eat it, their chances of breaking through to the Saint realm will increase by 30%!
That's a whole 30%!!
One should know that becoming a Saint realm expert was difficult to near impossible without natural talent and luck.
If a Heavenly Pallet were to somehow find its way into an auction, every Sage realm expert would go crazy to the point of even backstabbing a friend or a blood relative to get it.
In the face of becoming a Saint realm expert, all forms of relationship get thrown out the window.
And that's only how valuable the Heavenly Pallet is to a Sage expert. Imagine what the effects would be on a Nirvana realm and a Core Formation cultivator would, just a bit of dust scraped of would boost their cultivation by 1 or 2 levels in a matter of months, with no adverse effect in the long term!
And going a level lower to the Foundation Building stage, the amazing effects it has on their cultivation was.....none.
Nothing.
It has absolutely no effects on their cultivation level whatsoever.
Even if a Foundation stage cultivator ate a Heavenly Pallet, they would need the assistance of a Saint realm expert to absorb it, and even then, 2/3 of the medicinal effects would be lost in the process.
The only benefit they would gain is that the 1/3 of the medicinal effect that this rare treasure of heaven and earth left behind, would allow them to develop Spiritual Sense prematurely.
Longwei's reaction was indeed understandable, in fact, if one of those peak stage Sage realm experts, that was nearing the end of their life span but needed a breakthrough into the Saint realm to increase it had heard Longmin saying that, him, as Foundation realm cultivator had eaten a Heavenly Pallet, they would've immediately coughed up a gallon of blood and died on the spot, all while cursing him as they drink grandma Meng's soup down in the underworld.
Even when they reincarnate they would still be cursing him.

"Wasn't there only one left, and he...he act...actually ga...gave yo..you..." This news to Longwei was so shocking that he was unable to speak properly.
Longmin however, after hearing what his brother had shouted, took a step back that moved him twenty feet away. Looking from a distance at his brother, his expression became unusually apologetic.
Far away in the Ancestral Building, the Grand Elder's face had turned a shade of pitch black, while the Patriarch who was seating on the throne beside him, shook his head.
Letting out an angry snort, the Grand Elder lifted his hand and extended a finger in the direction of the training grounds.
Ripples immediately spread throughout the hall from his fingertip, before disappearing not long after.
Back on the stage in the training grounds, the angry Longwei saw how Longmin had moved away from him while showing him an apologetic expression.
He slowly calmed his emotions as he thought back on what he had just said.
Immediately, cold sweat started to filled his face as he heard a cold snort echoed above his head.
Looking up he saw countless ripples spreading out in the void above the stage, after which a jade-green palm was formed.
The palm was extremely similar to the palm technique he had used. The only difference was that compared to his, this palm was smaller and more detailed. Even the wrinkles and hair on the back of it were visible.
Not that Longwei was paying attention to any of that, because, without any warning or indication, the palm started rushing straight for him.
Letting out a wretched scream, Longwei tried to escape by jumping off the stage, but before he could land on the ground the palm caught one of his feet in midair.
Seeing this Longwei's soul nearly flew out of his body in fright.
Letting out another scream, he slapped the storage bag at his side and took out his Sage-level sword. Using all of his strength, he swung it at the palm, but to his horror, only the sound of metal hitting against metal echoed, not even a scratch was left on the palm.
This rare and precious treasure had no effect on the palm whatsoever.
Longwei became hysterical as he started hacking at the jade-green palm holding his leg.
Meanwhile above the stage, one more palm had formed.
"You little brat!"
"It was only recently you stop wetting your bed, and yet you dare to be so disrespectful to your elders!"
"Humph! Let's see if I'll let you off easy this time!"
As the Grand Elder's voice echoed in the training grounds, the second palm rushed towards Longwei coming to a stop behind him. It then angled itself right above his buttocks, and with a violent 'swooshing' sound a loud slap rang out.
Following that were Longwei's miserable screams as the palm continuously made 'swooshing' sounds while hitting his fourteen-year-old bum over and over again, showing no indication of stopping.
With a loud 'thud' Longwei was dropped butt first onto the stage. He let out a muffled whimper as his sore bum made contact with the hard concrete. His face had also turned pale white while a few tears were seen at the corner of his eyes. Crawling up from the ground, he gave a hateful stare towards Longmin, who in turn just smiles at him apologetically. Suddenly, a voice echoed above the stage. "Wei'er come see me in the Ancestral hall!" When Longmin heard that voice a complicated emotion flashed past his blue and gold pupils, but his smiling expression didn't change. Longwei grunted before walking off the stage. When he came close to the main entrance of the training grounds he pointed at the crowd of disciples that were off to the side. A blue Sword Qi was shot from his fingertip and curved its way around several people before landing on a male disciple. Letting out a miserable scream, the Sword Qi hit
Longwei hesitated for a little bit, as he tried to find the right words to explain his confusion, after collecting himself he said. "Father…." "Can you explain how Legendary Physiques are popping up like common weeds?" Hearing his son's question, the Patriarch didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Longwei however, just looked at his Father with confusion written all over his face. He really wanted to know the reason, because on the journey back from the Central Continent his mind was constantly preoccupied with this question. He had read ancient texts about Legendary Physiques in the Wu Clan's library, and it was said that the requirements needed for a planet to produce someone with a Legendary Physique were very stringent. It was so hard that a planet could go tens of thousands of years without ever having someone born with a Legendary Physique. But, here on planet Daiyu, the weakest of the four planets in the Wither Daemon Rea
The cultivation system for demonic beasts is different from the cultivation system of humans. Their levels of cultivation range from rank 1 to rank 9, with each level corresponding to the human cultivation system. So, a rank 1 demonic beast is as powerful as a Qi Gathering stage cultivator. But, even though their cultivation system is somewhat different from a human's, it still follows the same principles, as there are low tier, mid-tier, high tier, and peak tier rank 1 demonic beast. The same as someone who is in the 3rd level, 6th level, and 9th level of the Qi Gathering stage being called an early stage, mid-stage, and late-stage Qi Gathering cultivator, and when a 9th level cultivator is ready to breakthrough to the next level, he is called a peak stage Qi Gathering cultivator. On planet Daiyu or the Demonic Beast Continent specifically, the highest-ranked demonic beast is the two 'Beast Kings' of the Fire Phoenix and Ice Phoenix Beast race, both
The Central Continent was the biggest continent on planet Daiyu. It was also known as the Xingyun Dynasty, governed by the Xingyun imperial family, one of the two imperial families on the planet, besides the Tang Dynasty on the Tang Continent Out of all the other continents, it was considered the most powerful and prosperous. From the emperor and his ministers, down to the commoners in the 8 states, everyone was happily living their lives. This situation where peace reigns throughout the empire, was due to the emperor's strict laws on corruption and violence. He was a man of benevolence who believe that the empire should place the protection of its citizens above all else, because, without them, there would be no empire to speak of. To demonstrate this fact, he made a clear contrast between the cultivation world and the mortal world. The large Sage level sects and clans had gotten a warning that if their conflicts or struggle over cultivation
"Haha, Junior brother Fang what's with the sudden visit?" The crown prince at the building's entrance had his hands behind his back as a smile spread across his lips. If it wasn't for the black smudges on his face and clothes, he would've looked a bit more charming. Some of the black spots had even gotten on his teeth making his smile a bit weird. "Senior brother Bao, my father is a general under your father, his majesty's command. We've known each other since we were little, do I need a reason to visit you?" Li Fang's response caused the crown prince to be taken aback for a moment. "Well that's true, we could be considered close, but…" The crown prince eyed Li Fang for a brief second before he continued. "…I heard that general Ying's daughter is visiting the palace today. Did junior brother Fang perhaps wanted to meet with her?" Li Fang was now standing in front of the crown prince and looking at the height of the two young me
On the Holy Continent, was the famous Chan School. Although they weren't considered the top power on the continent, giving the fact that they're the oldest institute on planet Daiyu, with thousands of years of history, even if the major sects and clans had a hundred guts they wouldn't dare think of going against them. They were able to survive as long as they have while watching hegemon sects and clans, rise and fall. This led to people believing that under their seclusive nature there must be a terrifying force, one that has been building up for thousands of years. It was even rumored that long ago the continent was named by them. On the Holy Continent, in the Hundred Mountain Range, was where the Chan School disciples secluded themselves to focus on their Buddhist doctrines within their three divisions, namely, the Sila, Dharma, and Dhyana division. The Sila division disciples mainly focus on learning virtue and self-discipline, the Dharma d
Ruthless, savage, barbaric, coldblooded, and backbiting. The Blood Continent can be described as such and much more. The Blood Sect is the strongest power on the Blood Continent and they were the most infamous heretic sect on planet Daiyu. To show how harsh the conditions in the sect were; they would purposely limit the cultivation resources for their disciples, and encourage them to fight against each other. The sect's motto was, "Only the strong will survive, trust no one but yourself, if you want something, kill for it." From that alone, one could see that they follow the rule of the jungle, where only the strong will survive and the weak would be killed. Even though the sect had rules for killing between disciples, as long as there was no evidence incriminating the killer or the person killed wasn't a top genius, then the sect would most likely ignore it. Throughout the entire Blood Sect, disciples could be seen fidgeting w
Within Longmin’s courtyard, Longwei could be seen standing in front of a tree in the training grounds. His right hand was on the hilt of his sword while his left hand was holding its blue scabbard. With closed eyes, he stood there calmly, his posture straight as an arrow. A sudden gust of wind blew past causing his clothes and hair to flutter in the wind. It also caused a dozen leaves on the tree to become detached from its branches and to then start floating down towards the unmoving Longwei. Tightening his hand around the hilt of the sword, Longwei started emitting a sharp and fierce, that soar to the sky. Looking at him, he resemble a heavenly sword that was about to tear open the firmament. An intangible force started to spread from his body to cover three feet in his surroundings. Within that space, he became a ruler that could decide life or death. The twelve leaves were all within that three
