As Archon engaged in a heated battle with one of the Direwolves, Lady Zina took on the rest of the pack, ensuring that no other wolf would interrupt their fight. When faced with a life-or-death situation, one's growth tends to accelerate, and Lady Zina observed this phenomenon as she entrusted Archon to hold his ground. However, Archon surpassed her expectations, growing even stronger than she had anticipated.

Spotting the assumed pack leader positioned at the rear of the attacking Direwolves, Lady Zina swiftly moved in to confront it. She understood that eliminating the leader would create disarray among the rest of the pack. Though the wolves rushed to defend their alpha, they posed little trouble to Lady Zina. Nevertheless, their sheer numbers presented a challenge.

With two daggers firmly in hand, Lady Zina spun amidst the wolves, swiftly dispatching many of them. Though some of the Direwolves managed to evade her attack and back away, Lady Zina locked eyes with the alpha, sensing its understanding of the situation.

"How is a rank three beast capable of such wisdom? It has not even advanced to the next stage," Lady Zina pondered momentarily.

Taking a quick step forward, Lady Zina closed the gap between two Direwolves, deftly drawing an arc with her twin daggers and slicing both creatures' heads from the jaw up. She then leapt into the air, executing a graceful spin before landing firmly on the ground.

The alpha let out a resounding howl, signaling the charge of the Direwolf pack. Lady Zina tightened her grip on her twin daggers, a slight smile gracing her lips. Instead of launching a direct frontal assault, the Direwolves divided themselves into two groups, attacking from opposite sides. Lady Zina couldn't help but be amazed at their tactical awareness.

"Smart, but still too weak," she remarked with confidence.

As the wolves closed in, a surge of energy burst forth from Lady Zina, repelling them with a wave of ki. Her entire body became enveloped in a ki barrier, even her clothes and daggers coated in its protective aura. Undeterred, Lady Zina fearlessly leapt into the midst of the Direwolves. The rank two beasts were no match for her, unable to penetrate her formidable ki defense. With precise cuts, slices, and kicks, Lady Zina swiftly massacred the entire pack. Lifeless bodies of Direwolves littered the ground, their blood staining the earth, crimson.

Lady Zina sighed, realizing the blood's stench would attract unwanted attention. She redirected her gaze to the lone alpha standing before her. Trembling in fear, the Alpha Direwolf witnessed the demise of its comrades and understood that it was next unless it mustered every ounce of strength to avenge its fallen pack.

Suddenly, a shadow materialized beneath the alpha, and two more wolves emerged. Both were also rank three Direwolves, at the early-mid stages of their rank, while the alpha itself was in the late stages of its rank three transformation.

Before engaging the alpha Direwolf, Lady Zina stole a quick glance at Archon to ensure his safety.

He was still struggling against the single rank two Direwolf.

"This is the only way you will grow," she thought, acknowledging that Archon's true potential could only be unleashed in life-or-death situations.

The three Direwolves launched a coordinated attack, their fury unleashed upon Lady Zina with relentless ferocity. The clash of their forces repelled all three wolves, pushing Lady Zina backward. Using the support of a nearby tree, she propelled herself towards the Direwolf on the right, intending to eliminate them one by one before they could regain their balance.

In an instant, Lady Zina switched her twin daggers for a single, large blade resembling the tooth of a Saber Tooth Tiger. It was a formidable weapon, originating from a rank four beast and the natural enemy of Direwolves. As she wielded the Saber Tooth dagger, a heavy pressure descended upon the Direwolves. The weapon glowed with an orange hue as Lady Zina infused her ki energy into it, gripping the handle tightly. The aura around her body surged and condensed around the blade, transforming it from a dagger into an imposing orange sword.

This technique showcased one of the most potent abilities of a ki user — the capacity to draw power from a beast weapon and amplify their own strength by infusing it with their ki energy. As long as Lady Zina possessed the Saber Tooth dagger, she would receive a significant boost in power, commensurate with the rank and quality of the weapon.

Lady Zina's attack dominated the rank three Direwolf on the right. With a mighty swing of the Saber Tooth sword, she cleaved the creature's body in two, rendering it lifeless. The wolf offered no resistance, its fangs, claws, and defenses shattered by the devastating blow.

The aftershock of the attack reverberated through the ground, stirring up a dust storm in its wake. The Alpha Direwolf and its remaining companion narrowed their eyes, sensing the fear-inducing presence of the demon woman before them. As the dust settled, the alpha vanished into its own shadow, leaving its companion behind.

With a swift motion, Lady Zina swiftly decapitated the remaining Direwolf. However, the Alpha Direwolf seized the opportunity to launch a counterattack. Its maw opened wide, aiming to deliver a lethal bite to Lady Zina. Narrowly evading the attack, Lady Zina rolled out of harm's way, but not without a scratch. The wolf's claws had drawn blood, breaching her formidable ki defenses effortlessly. This demonstrated the true power of a rank three beast, even when suppressed and weakened by the Saber Tooth dagger's dominance.

Relentlessly pursuing Lady Zina, the Alpha Direwolf employed its claws, attacking from various angles and utilizing its ability to move through shadows. Caught in a defensive stance, Lady Zina found it challenging to mount a counteroffensive. While her beast weapon continued to augment her abilities, she couldn't fully unleash its potential without risking harm to herself. This was the best she could do in her current predicament.

The howls of the approaching Direwolves echoed through the forest, indicating that time was running short. Lady Zina realized she needed to end the battle swiftly before more reinforcements arrived.

"What exactly is this cursed energy?" Archon inquired, his curiosity piqued to know more about the mysterious force within him, a power that seemed unnatural for a human to possess. The grandmaster took a deep breath, preparing to shed some light on the enigma. "Cursed energy is a primal force that exists within all beasts to some extent. It is a volatile blend of raw emotions, instincts, and spiritual essence. Unlike ki, which requires discipline and focus, cursed energy is untamed and chaotic, embodying both immense power and chaos."Archon listened intently, his eyes fixed on the grandmaster as he absorbed every word.
