Chapter 100: You Burn Them

Aarav woke up with a jolt of surprise and a gasp of breath. An overwhelming sense of anxiety immediately struck. His eyes widened as panic spread throughout his body as his heart beat rapidly.

It took a split second for Aarav to catch his own breath. Aarav tried to digest what he had just experienced, heard and seen. Slowly, Aarav looked around the room in a daze.

This was very strange.

Aarav did not see the room he was in now as the same as the room a few seconds ago. Instead of an all-white room resembling a human experimentation room, Aarav was now in a room that resembled a hospital inpatient.

The smell of medicine was thick in his nose now. There was only himself in this room. What had he seen just moments ago?

Had Aarav just had a nightmare?

Aarav let out a long sigh as his shoulders slumped weakly. He closed his eyes as he rubbed his face lightly.

"Damn," Aarav muttered softly. "Why are my dreams so uncomfortable?"
