Chapter 12

A man shot right before his eyes with a bullet that was meant for him, now a car exploding right behind him, almost claiming his and Aaliyah’s life. Niko was already reluctant about moving on with his new life of wealth “I just wake up one day to an alert of millions of dollars and all of a sudden, people want me dead. Is that the price I gotta pay for being rich? Then I don’t want it” he said in a low voice as he sat at the back of the Taxi, heading back home. He couldn’t get over the words of Aaliyah when she said “It’s only the beginning Niko, it’s normal to have enemies you don’t even know, people make you an enemy just because you’re rich.”

They both decided to use a Taxi back home instead of calling a luxurious car from the collection of Niko’s father.

There was silence for a while before Aaliyah finally voiced out “Mr Foster, your dad’s gonna be back in the country soon, he really wants to see you. He’s gone sick looking for you all these years.”
