Hello. I hope everyone is doing okay. There will be double updates tomorrow, please look forward to it. Hugs for you.
The storm only lasted for 6 seconds but it feels longer than that. As soon as it’s over, I immediately chug down some potions to get myself back to normal. I’m freezing all over, so I immediately chug a potion to make it better. This Freeze effect can only be cured by magic or antidote potion, so I chug down that too. I thought of using Heat Potion that I just got, but the potions have slightly risen my temperature, so I’ll save that for later. The mist on the ceiling had also receded back to Khione. I notice something. The bullet holes, that I made before, had not yet recovered. They’re still there, staining her previously porcelain white skin with black spots. Seeing that, I know exactly what must be done to defeat her. I wait for another Fire from the girl, but even after 10 seconds, there is no magic casted on Khione. I curse. “What is she doing?” ‘Did she faint?’ Is the first thing in my mind. Obviously because she’s wearing skirt, which exposed her feet to the tremendously
The icicles change direction, but instead of being thrown, they are engulfed in flames and then break into tiny pieces. I know that was the girl’s doing, so I let her deal with the Ice Fairy as I recover myself. Khione’s white body is now covered in grey soot that for some reason doesn’t go away. Seeing this wound on her body, she turns to the girl’s direction. But the girl quickly hides herself, so Khione doesn’t know where she is. ‘It’s looking for me.’ The girl becomes wary. But that was her intention. ‘That scream was his. Was he hurt badly? Was I out for too long?’ That scream that woke her was a painful one, and she’s worried that something bad had happened to her savior. So she hurriedly cast Fire as soon as she came to. But now she’s conflicted between running to save him or just stay and distract the monster from here, because he specifically said not to worry about him. She peeks at the monster again. The mist swirls around it, but they’re faint and glows rather bright.
After collecting enough crystal flowers, I received another notification from the System that I have finished another mission. We exited the cave, encountering some monsters on the way back, but we’re practically fed up by them. And we’re tired. So we were a bit merciless towards them.We just wanted to go back and rest. When we finally reached the entrance, there were already two guards there.“We were worried because the girl hasn’t got out. We were about to come look for you.” The guard said. She forced a smile and apologized. “Sorry, I was trapped. This guy saved me, and I’m okay. Though I definitely need a warm bath.”“I would need that too.” I said before I yawn. This trip was exhausting. The guards chuckled. “It’s good to see you two are okay. Come to the post and let us check you out. We’ll stop the bus for you.”Yes, well, unfortunately, we couldn’t just leave even after exiting the cave. We went here on permission after all. After taking care of the formal stuffs, we sat the
“This goes here, and then here, and then—why can’t I make it good like butterfly wings?” I look at myself in the mirror. I’ve been trying to tie this over and over, but I just can’t get it right.Eventually, I give up on the bow tie and wear my yellow pendant outside of the shirt, so now it’s the one adorning my front other than the folded handkerchief in my pocket. I untie one of the top buttons of the shirt, and I also untie my tuxedo. So I probably look like a bad boy now… But I don’t care. I can’t waste all night tying a fricking bow tie and I don’t want to look unready.Besides, that bow tie makes me look stupid.I’m just attending because firstly, there are wonderful people that are going to come, and secondly, I’m curious about the food prepared for the buffet.I know nothing’s gonna happen in this banquet, which is why I’m just going to be realistic for a bit and enjoy the event. This is the time to make friends. I will show the characters that I’m a very fun person to be arou
Just before Fay, Rean, and Terrence entered the courtyard, they were arguing.“No, no, no. That is not an acceptable apology. They can’t just send you to talk to me on behalf of them!” I told Fay.“And I’m telling you, they sent me to talk to you on behalf of everyone. And this is the last time. You even refused Sir Cromwell, that was rude.” Fay reprimanded calmly.“Excuse me. I don’t understand what is going on.” Rean’s face already showed that the redhead is bewildered by the ordeal.I turned to him. “Harcourt insulted me and she sent Fay to apologize in her place!”Rean immediately frowned. “Is that true, Ms. Fay?”Fay rolled her eyes. “Not the way I would put it. The problem is much more complicated than that.”I beg to differ. “It is not.”Fay turned to me with an eyebrow raised. “Really? You’re going to make a scene on this again?”I frown at her. “Oh Harcourt is the one who needs to grow up, Fay.”Fay looked at me in amusement. “And you’re not?”My lips twitch in annoyance. “Yo
BANG“Shraa!” The plant monster Coniver slowly falls to the ground. Its greenish brown skin fades into darker shades of brown following its death.I blow the barrel of my ORION with a smile. “Easy peasy.”Thanks to Khione side mission, I’m now level 13. The monsters in here are not threats to me now. Except the Tygris. But as long as I don’t go to the 5th level or 5th floor, and downward, it’s all good.I look around the training center. Because I wasn’t that strong yet, I didn’t dare go past the 1st floor, so I’m going to use this opportunity to take a walk in the training center.Yeah, I decided to go to here to cool down.Since there’s a banquet, no one would expect anyone going here, so there’s no guard. I also didn’t bring my Arrow with me, which means I have no GPS tracker on me. So I don’t need to worry that anyone would caught me in here.I stroll down the grassy stairway to the 3rd floor, passing a pair of big glowing crystals. As this training center was built above layers o
I aim at the coming Tygris and activate my new skill.‘Ice Shot.’I fire my gun three times while running away from it and the tree. Three bullets fly from the barrel of my gun with thick white streaks. The Tygris dodges the first shot, but it could not dodge the next two with its big body. And this time, thankfully, my bullets actually draw blood.“Yes!” I grin when I see the red stains forming in its orange coat.“RAWR!” I laugh because I finally got the reaction I’m yearning for. “Finally crying, aren’t you?!”“Look out!”I instantly jump to the side, again, dodging the Tygris’s lunge attack. But the monster turns around fast this time, and I scramble to my feet.It growls at me at the same moment of its green eyes glow. Suddenly, I feel the earth moves around me.“Oh shit.”The ground below me is suddenly elevated and I lost my balance. But even when my face had planted on the ground, the ground around me begins moving erratically, punching me with rocks and hard soil. My body ac
We stop running just after we reach the 1st floor. Heaves and huffs escape our lips as we take our breath.“I want to thank you again, Terrence. If you weren’t here, I don’t know what would happen to me.” Ollie said.I still cannot erase the familiarity from him, but I just cannot figure out who this guy is. But I decided not to think about that too much.“You’re welcome. But next time, please don’t go in by yourself. It doesn’t matter how high the magic you mastered. That Tygris isn’t a foe you can take down by yourself.” I said seriously.Even when I play the game, I only dare to come here when the available characters had reached level 15 at the bare minimum. With Khione in hand too. As it would be very hard to beat it without good amount of HP, strength, and resources. It gives a handsome amount of EXP and Gold when defeated, as well as AP. But it’s worthy of the preparation. However it’s still unfathomable that I didn’t think of using Khione at all before. If only I had remembere
