Henry Patrickson sat at his desk, staring at the bank statements in front of him. He had lost so much money in the robbery, far more than he could ever afford to lose. And as the reality of the situation sank in, he felt his rage building. He began to tremble, his fists clenched so tight that his knuckles turned white. He stood up, knocking over his chair, and began to pace back and forth, his breath coming in gasps. He started to smash things, throwing books and papers across the room, kicking over furniture. Finally, he stopped, panting and sweating, his heart pounding in his chest. And as the rage subsided, he was left with a deep sense of shame. He had lost control, acting like a child instead of a man."Leo, you bastard!" Henry seethed, his voice hoarse with rage. "You took everything from me! You took my wife, my money, my reputation! And now you've taken my dignity, with your little puppet, Melissa. I swear I'll make you pay for this! You'll regret the day you ever crossed me!"
"What?" he snapped. "What is it?""Henry, I know this is difficult, but you need to hear me out," his father said, his voice calm and patient. "I know the outcome wasn't what we wanted, but we need to figure out what to do next.""What do you want me to do?" Henry asked, his tone bitter."The judge was not happy with the case you brought to him," his father said. "He felt that you didn't have enough evidence to sue the royal government, and he said that if you continued to pursue this, you could face serious consequences. He said that you needed to drop the case, and focus on fixing the problems within your company.""But they robbed me!" Henry protested, his voice rising. "They stole from me! They deserve to be punished!""I understand that you're angry," his father said, "but you need to calm down and think about this rationally. I know this is difficult, but we need to think of a way forward. The judge was clear that if you continue to pursue this case, you could end up in prison.
Henry was filled with anger that was covering his eyes from seeing the world clearly. All he wanted now was to do things his own way, to make things work in a quick and faster way.He opened his drawer and pulled out a small sheet of paper which had some numbers scribbled down on it.He dialed the number on his phone and put a call across the contact.“I knew you would call.” The person at the other end started.“I'm up for the deal.” Henry said after ignoring the statement made by the other man.“(cracks into a laughter) what deal?” The man asked Henry as he found that statement very funny.“Stop beating around the bush. You know what I am talking about. I'm in for the discussion we had the last time we met.” Henry replied.“I've heard you.” The man replied.“Dennis, stop joking around please. So, is it still open? I'm fully ready for whatever you need me to do.” Henry replied with a desperate tone.“You are not serious, or are you?” Dennis asked him again with a serious voice now.
Henry was calm and secretive, which made everyone to be surprised. Clara came visiting but his countenance towards her was also shocking.“Why are you so quiet and calm when there is fire out there, raging all around you??” Julia questioned as she couldn't understand why and where he got this calm attitude from when he was supposed to be worried and flaring up in anger.“What? Shouldn't I have peace of mind again? Or just because your little puppet and his toy are playing games on me, should it make me to panic and start begging them??” Henry spoke so derogatory to Clara that she felt insulted.“I am trying to make things easier for you and stressing my fucking ass out there but meanwhile, you are here like a bitch doing nothing!” Clara yelled in anger.Clara glared at Henry, her eyes blazing with fury. He sat across from her, his expression calm and serene, as if he hadn't a care in the world. It only served to enrage her further."How can you just sit there, so calm and collected?"
He pushed away his friends and family, convinced that he was doing what was best for them. But as he became more and more isolated, he started to feel the weight of his actions, the emptiness of his life. And yet, he still couldn't stop himself, couldn't give up the quest for money and power. It was as if he was trapped in a cycle, unable to break free from the chains of his own making. He was caught in a web of his own design, and he couldn't find a way out. He felt like a prisoner in his own life, trapped by his own decisions and desires. He was a slave to his own ambitions, a slave to his own greed. And as the days and weeks and months passed, he felt himself sinking deeper and deeper into despair. He felt the darkness closing in around him, and he couldn't see a way out."I don't understand it," Melissa said, her voice full of confusion. "It's like a miracle. How did they manage to turn things around so quickly?"Leo shook his head, still trying to wrap his mind around the situati
It was early in the morning, on the day Leo would be made the prime minister, when Steve brought his boys and supporters to the coronation venue. His aim was to distort the event before it even started. Unfortunately, they were met by very armed military officials. These men were armed to the teeth and ready to take down anyone who would cause a scene. This was so frustrating for Steve and Colton. They could barely do a thing. The soldiers had their guns ready to fire. Just then, the king arrived with his entourage. "What's going on here?!" He asked. Steve was mad. "You really want to go through with this?!" Steve asked. "Giving such a critical role to a common person. A low life." He fired at the king. "Leo is no low life. Maybe he was, but he proved to us all that where you come from is only but a mirage of what you can achieve. His great feats have made him a perfect man for the job." The king explained. "I can not sit and watch this happen." Steve said. "You can and you w
Soon, Leo and Melissa sat down and the coronation began. Some people at the back muttered. "How old is he?" They asked among themselves. "Isn't he too young to be a prime minister?" "The king is obviously being sentimental here, making his daughter's love interest the prime minister." They continued to gossip. However, that wasn't the case. He did this because he believed that Leo's kind, determined and creative mind was what the country needed for better development. The gossip and mutters didn't help. The Royal house had made its decision and no one could oppose it especially when there was really nothing against Leo. He had no history of crime or law opposition. "Let us to Rise to our new Prime Minister, Mr. Leo Luke." The moderator of the coronation commanded. Everyone rose to their feet, including the king to pay his respect. Steve, the king's brother and Prince Colton were present. They had to be for they were royalty and tradition demanded they were present. They stood
Steve and Colton paid Henry and Patrickson a visit the next day. "I didn't see you or your father at the coronation yesterday." Steve asked. "Why would we come?" Henry replied. "To watch him bast in my glory?" He further added. Steve sighed. He felt Henry's pain. "Forgive my son, he's been going through a lot." Patrickson begged. "I understand." Steve replied. "He has every right to be forlorn." He added. "You deserve to be the Prime Minister, not that piece of mud. You are the rightful person." Colton said to Henry. "But I'm not. Leo has taken it. That nobody has taken what was supposed to be mine." Henry continued to lament. "The boy is a fraud and has successfully blinded the king with his games." Patrickson said. "No. My brother is foolish and blinded by Leo's mediocrity." Steve replied. "That's why the kingdom needs me." He further said. "We just need one win and everything will be ours." Patrickson said. "I just want my position as the Prime Minister of this count
