CHAPTER 37

Heading back to the mansion in the cold night, Savador and Mildred sat together in the back seat of the car, silently.

Mildred had her attention outside the window. Staring at all the vehicles passing them with speed.

Savador on the other hand, sat near the other window. He had his elbow leaning on the door and his jaw resting on the back of his hand.

He wasn't focusing on all the buildings or cars passing, but thinking of Mildred.

He wondered how she must be feeling within, after what occurred at the diamond way hall.

Slowly, he navigated his attention to her point and found her still looking outside.

Guilt took over him, as he couldn't help but blame himself for the humiliation caused by Emily.

Not wanting there to be silence between them anymore, Savador sighed and called Mildred's name. Reaching for her hand which was on the seat.

Mildred heard his call. She turned to look at Savador, but felt his hand holding hers.

"What is it? " She asked, lifting her gaze on him.
