Goldberg stands in a deserted Kitchen which was dark, as it was run by rats. The smell of rotten food hangs over the place like an old blanket. There is nothing there other than garbage piles in the corner where the sinks are and the walls. No windows let any light in. A couple of lights flicker here and there but they don't work so Goldberg can only make out vague shadows around him from the lack of natural light. He has already gone through every room and finds nothing worth stealing so it must be empty at this hour of the night. He turns to see a wooden box laying on the floor covered in dust, Goldberg kneels while opening up the box. He comes into sight with dusty junk inside. It looks like old furniture or something similar. Some books and some papers are stuffed inside. One of those papers has gold writing on its spine. That's interesting. Goldsmiths used to collect coins, jewelry, and such things as this. But now these kinds of things seem to be everywhere. This
Snow closes the door behind her and looks around for a car to get into. She spots a car parked next to David’s truck. The passenger window is lowered slightly and a man in uniform is leaning against the driver side door.“Is that the guy who owns the truck?” Emma questions.“No, that’s the owner’s younger brother, David.”“I hope he’s not a serial killer.” Neal comments sarcastically as Snow approaches him.Once she is standing next to him she says: “Hello. Is Mr. Jones here? We need to talk to him.”“Sorry lady, but he went home early. Said that he had things that needed to be done.” He responds curtly.“We have urgent business to discuss with him. Can you please give me his number?”The officer hesitates for a moment before giving the brunette the required number. The three women walk over to the truck, hop in, and start driving down the highway. After a few minutes they reach a red light, where they turn left towards the sheriff’s department. When they pull up in front of the build
The nurse goes back to the ward looking at the strange little girl who kept looking at her with fear installed on her face. “Come here you demon!” she says while removing a rope and trying down the little girl. “Let me go” the girl struggles to get herself free from her stronghold. The nurse grabs the little girl’s hair before placing both of her hands around the girl's neck, the girl’s eyes turn black, and she began breathing in rapid gasps trying her best to breathe normally. She stops struggling after 30 seconds and just lies there. The nurse drops her hands releasing the little girl from her grip who sits up. “Are you better?” the nurse asksThe little girl looks at the nurse with pure disgust in her eyes.“No. Get away from me” she yells at the nurse before quickly grabbing the blanket she was lying on and covering her body.Suddenly the child clenched her teeth on her hand forcing the nurse to yell as the pain stretches on her hand. “You little witch” she slaps the littl
Regina nods: “Your father was fine.” She assures him.He sighs relieved: “Good. I can’t imagine how terrified and upset he was when he realized that I wasn’t with him anymore. Did you find my sister? Was everyone alright? Where’s mom?” He asks her desperately trying to figure out what is happening in his life.Regina: “Henry, relax. Your mother and your brother are fine. The others… Well, you should probably talk to them yourselves. Your sister will give me directions to her house so you can go visit her. And don’t worry about your father. He’ll be fine.”The boy looks skeptical: “But the Evil Queen wants my magic and is looking for me. Isn’t that exactly why she kidnapped you? To get it from me?”Regina shakes her head: “Actually, we need your magic more than ever. We can use it to help her defeat the Darkness.” She explains, hoping that he might understand what she is saying.Henry shakes his head in disbelief: “If she wants my magic, isn’t it better if she gets rid of you?”Regina:
Emma takes a deep breath and answers: “We’ve discovered who kidnapped our son.”Snow is instantly filled with relief: “Thank God. So he’s ok? Are you all right, sweetheart?” She asks her daughter and son, hugging them both quickly.Neal notices that he is holding nothing in his hands; “Mom, is that your phone in your pocket? Can I look?”Mary Margaret laughs lightly: “Sure… but let me grab something first.” She hurries towards the kitchen again to get some plates to put their food on. Once Emma tells her mother what she had seen in their apartment, Snow sits down again. She has never been good at keeping secrets from those close to her. She knows she will have to share what happened sooner or later. Even though her heart is breaking for the kids, she knows she cannot hide anything from them. They deserve to know. She takes a deep breath: “So, uhm … I suppose you want to know why we were gone this long?” She tells them hesitantly.Emma nods : “Yeah, that would be nice.”Snow takes an
Will discuss the details when we’re all home. Right now, we need to get home. We’ve had a very long day. Maybe we should all get some sleep?” suggests Emma. The others nod, agreeing to Emma’s suggestion, they start heading towards the door when Snow stops them in their tracks: “Hold on, guys, first things first. Where exactly were you planning on going?” She asks curiously.Emma looks at her Mother before answering: “Back to our house. So that we can pack a bag and head back home.”David shakes his head: “No. Not yet, anyway. Not until Henry has gotten enough rest.”Henry: “Daddy is right. I need to get ready for school tomorrow. And I still have a couple of tests that I haven’t completed. Plus I have a couple of projects waiting for me at school that I haven’t even started on yet.”Emma raises her eyebrows at Henry: “What kind of projects?”He shrugs his shoulders: “Just normal stuff. Like drawing, coloring pictures, making a puzzle…. stuff like that.” He tries to smile, but both pa
Regina notices that it's just ahead of them so she sits back comfortably in her seat and watches the cars rushing past them. They make their way through the intersection smoothly and continue to drive through the middle of town for a few more minutes. After passing by several buildings that looked rather fancy, they eventually arrive at their destination. Regina watches Daniel's reaction carefully as they approach the entrance to the hotel. He stares out of the window silently, looking uninterested.“Here it is…” he speaks suddenly. She turns toward him and smiles. “This is our hotel? This is your favorite hotel?”“Yup...this is my favorite hotel. Come on...let's go check us in.” He says, taking her hand and leading her through the glass double doors to the lobby of the hotel. As they enter the lobby, she notices that there’s very little activity. There’s a couple of men who seem to be talking on the telephone in a corner and there's a woman who seems to be arguing w
He leads her across the yard to one of the garage doors. “Come on. Let’s find your car.” He mutters. “I need to take you somewhere important.”“Okay… where?” She asks curiously, following after him as they walk toward her truck. His grip on her arms tightens momentarily, and she wonders what he must be thinking about. They make their way over to her black, shiny SUV and he helps her climb into the passenger seat. He walks around to the driver' s side and slams the door shut before turning to stare at her for a second before starting the car and driving out of the driveway. The streets are filled with traffic, which isn't unusual at this hour. It’s late afternoon and most people have stopped working to spend some time outdoors in the cold rain. She watches as the trees fly by through the windshield and she realizes that this must be how Daniel felt whenever he drove through these roads. That was the reason why he didn't speak much about himself. But maybe he never truly wanted to talk
Sam frowns but drops the subject anyway and walks towards the car.As they prepare to depart, Jack pauses, taking one last glance around his home. Then noticed his wife standing at the other side of the room. She smiles sweetly, "You are trying your best” She walks over to embrace her husband. Jack hesitates momentarily before reciprocating the hug. “The kids don't see that ” Jack whispers. Sophia squeezes her husband tighter, "Your children love you, you're doing great, and you make a wonderful father. They need a strong person that will take care of them, and you just happen to be that person”"Thank you," Jack breathes out gratefully when suddenly the car horn blares, startling the couple."Can we move?!” Emily yelled out the window impatiently, clearly annoyed. Jack and Sophia nod in unison.Samuel is the last to leave the house, walking down a flight of stairs with the pipe tightly gripped in his hands. As soon as they were all loaded into the car, Jack sits behind the steer
Nothing. So she slowly steps outside and closes the door behind her, stepping under the protective shelter of the staircase. The rain continues to pour on, even heavier than before.Suddenly she hears loud, thunderous footsteps coming from her right. She looks over and catches sight of Daniel running out into the street. The rain suddenly stops and the air grows quite humid. Regina takes a couple of deep, calming breathes and tries to control her breathing as well. After a minute she hears the sound of tires rolling on wet concrete. She turns her head to look in the direction where she heard it and she freezes in place as she realizes what’s happening.A car is speeding down the road, heading straight for Daniel. She watches as it speeds up and approaches him. She can hear the engine revving loudly as it gets closer and closer to him. She can see the driver’s side window roll down and she can see the man’s face clearly. He’s smirking evilly as he drives by Daniel, who is standing froz
Regina sits up, placing her elbows on her thighs as she stares at the window across the room. She's afraid of facing what she did last night, but at the same time she has no desire to leave him alone either. He's never been so open with her before and she doesn't understand why he' s doing it now. Maybe he's scared that she'll think less of him after she found out about everything he went through. It doesn't seem like that's what he is worried about though, because he never told her about it. Even after all these weeks together he barely opened up to her. She knows that he has feelings for her, but she still feels like he doesn’t trust her enough. After a moment she gets up from the bed and starts walking toward the bathroom. As soon as the door closes behind her, Regina leans onto the counter. After spending hours and hours just staring at those damn walls yesterday, she's really starting to grow frustrated at herself. How could she let those bastards win? What did she expect? She sh
his gaze to meet hers.“Good morning.” He greets her softly, smiling.“Good morning.” She answers, also smiling, returning the gesture. She watches him carefully, noticing that despite his words he seems somewhat uncomfortable. She wonders why and how many nights he spent tossing and turning last night due to his dream. “You didn’t have any bad dreams this night?”He shakes his head and looks away. “I’m glad you stayed.”“Me too.” She agrees. They both remain quiet for a few minutes, neither wanting to talk about the events of the previous evening. But eventually they must break the silence, because he speaks up."So… You came back here? I thought…”"No, I didn’t stay here. I left immediately after you fell asleep."He smiles at her. "Good morning." He repeats, making her laugh."Good morning." She replies."What would you like for breakfast?" He asks. She looks at him questioningly. "Um, what exactly is your definition of 'breakfast?'” Sh
“Sorry girls, I just need to be alone for now" she replies in a broken state while looking at the none resistant eyes of the little girls. She was trying not to cry but was failing miserably by the end. She walks through the halls aimlessly, her head low and her mind in turmoil. She needed time to sort out what the hell had happened but she knew that wasn’t an option here. It would just mean more time away from these children’s concerned eyes. She stops at one of the windows to look outside; the moonlight was falling heavily as usual in this part of town. There was nothing special about this particular window though, it looked exactly like all other ones around her. However, she noticed something different this time around. The trees were swaying back and forth slightly; almost like there was some kind of wind coming from behind them. It was odd enough for her to have stopped to look. “Everything we dreamt and built together is all crumbling," she says while holding her locket
The first rays of sunlight illuminate the whole room through the blinds covering the windows. She blinks several times as she yawns loudly. She rubs the sleepiness off her eyes and stretches slightly. She hears a slight groan next to her and looks over at him to find him staring at her through a heavy eyelid. Slowly he starts waking up more. His eyebrows furrow and his lips purse together slightly as his eyes focus on Regina. He blinks several times and then turns his gaze away from her. She watches his face carefully, waiting for him to show any signs of discomfort. To her surprise, however, he remains very calm.He pushes himself up and sits cross legged on the edge of the bed while stretching once more before finally lifting his gaze to meet hers.“Good morning.” He greets her softly, smiling.“Good morning.” She answers, also smiling, returning the gesture. She watches him carefully, noticing that despite his words he seems somewhat uncomfortable. She wonders why and
wearing the same tattered sweatshirt as earlier. He looks like he hasn't slept in days.He slowly walks over to her, and she keeps her gaze focused on her hands folded together on her lap; trying her best not to let him know how worried she is for him. She hears him sit next to her on the bed. "Are you okay?” He asked in a soft voice. She finally lifts her gaze from her hands to meet his eyes. She takes in his appearance for a few moments and then she says. "Yes. I'm fine."He frowns. "But you're not. Why won't you tell me what happened? I already said you could leave whenever you wanted and that we were friends and nothing more," he tells her with pleading, sad blue eyes. She swallows nervously before looking back down. "I am really sorry… It's none of my business." She tells him sincerely. "I should probably go back to the living room now." She adds as an afterthought, standing up to take a step back. She feels his hand gently touch her shoulder. She slowly tur
