“Hello?” Derek said on the other end then Byron turned to Sucre. They had thought Sophia was the one calling them back but that bitch!

She gave Derek the phone.

“I can talk to them myself, Derek… It's fine.”

Byron remained silent, not uttering a word as the call connected. He wasn't sure if Sophia had told Derek: he was the one calling her but still, he had to make sure.

“Whatever… and why isn't the person saying anything?” Derek handed the phone back to Sophia who forced an awkward smile and said, “It might have disconnected or it's probably poor service.” She said out loud that Derek and Byron heard it.

Then Byron was convinced she hadn't said anything to Derek just yet.

“I'd just go call them.” She said to Derek. Though the line was still connected and Byron was able to hear what she was saying to Derek as she was yet to hang up.

“Why step out… to call them, when…you can just… call them… here.” Derek said in-between kisses.
