MEETING THE ENEMY
In about five minutes, Vanessa walked back and sat close to Byron, giving him a sultry smile. “The maids should be done in less than 5 minutes. I promise, it won't take long and you can still make it to your meeting… tonight.” Byron noticed the sarcasm in her tone.

Of course she didn't believe he had a meeting tonight. He was always in a hurry whenever he visited. At least that's what she could say. Since the last time they kissed, she felt he had been avoiding her.

Vanessa moved even closer this time, her eyes locking into his. “Are you really serious about having a meeting by 9pm, or are you just lying to me?”

“Hey! Get off of my daughter!” Lord Dee yelled coldly and Vanessa quickly moved away from Byron.

Vanessa buried her head in embarrassment. She was the one going close to Byron but Byron was the one told to get off of her.

“Dad.” Vanessa walked quickly to calm her father. Byron didn't do anything wrong. In fact she was the one who insisted he stayed for dinner.
