“There's one thing I need you to have in mind, is your opinion about my brother, means absolutely nothing to me.” Beatrice took a closer look to scan Lincoln's bruised and bloody face.

“The card… you said you have it? Can I have it?” Her patience was wearing thin.

Lincoln scoffed, “Hold your horses cowgirl. I don't have it… but I can arrange for you to receive it.”

Beatrice burst out a mocking laugh, “You don't make arrangements for me Mr. Lincoln, I have people for that… I'm not exactly certain you're even working alone.”

She had a hunch he was sent by Byron. And this was probably one of their tricks to either kill her or get her out of the way, same way they did with her brother.

“I work for no bastard! Believe it or not I don't care!” Lincoln barked, his expression dark.

Beatrice cocked a brow as she sensed the seriousness in his tone. Byron must have done something to his cousin for him to wanna betray him this much.
