Christian nodded. “I have also been thinking the same thing. There is one man who might be willing and that is an old business partner of Marlin’s who had a disagreement with him a couple of years ago. He is not very reliable, but he might speak if you give him immunity.”

Phoebe listened to her, and her thoughts were spinning. “What if we reach out to him? “Tell him that we are preparing a case against Marlin and if he wants to testify against him, we can guarantee him protection.”

“It’s risky,” Christian said. “If Marlin hears of this, he will increase pressure on us even more.”

Seth sat back in the chair, looking quite serious. ‘Well, we will have to be quick about it then.’ If we are going to do this, we have to do it in a smart way.”
