Chapter 2. Threat In The God's Temple

Ten Years Later

"Amitabha... What's wrong with you, Kaiming? Your name, which means enlightened, is inversely proportional to your gloomy face. You are the leader of this God's temple. The Sect Leader of the God Temple shouldn't have a gloomy face!"

"Temperature... I'm actually still reluctant to accept the responsibility of being your successor. Had it not been for your wish to resign from the martial world, I would have refused. The events of that time still haunt me; I feel very guilty."

The conversation between the two monks took place in Monk Tian Kong's private room. The professor of a famous sect in the martial world A sect whose members were divine servants from a temple called the Temple of God on a mountain called Mount Shenshan. A sect of divine servants as well as a martial arts school called the God Temple Sect.

In the private room of Tian Kong Monk, the retired grand master of the Temple of God, Kaiming Monk, appeared. The new head of the God Temple Sect replaced the ninety-year-old old man. He expressed all his grievances to his teacher.

Monk Tian Kong was one of the Four Archangels of the Martial World. He earned the title Angel of the Alabaster Face. The title was given to him because of his compassionate nature as well as his handsome face despite his old age. With wise counsel, Monk Tian Kong tried to calm his disciple down.

"What happened to the Liong family wasn't entirely your fault. You were only framed in that bloody plot. That person's personal enmity with the Liong family made him use his power to plan the massacre.

Monk Tian Kong's words suddenly stopped. His face turned extremely pale. "Wh-what is this?" thought the old man.

"W-what is it, teacher?"

Tian Kong Monk didn't answer his disciple's question. He immediately darted out of his residence. The extremely fast movements that Tian Kong Monk demonstrated couldn't even be seen by his disciple, Kian Ming Monk.

Tian Kong Monk's divine powers were unquestionable. As one of the eight most powerful people in the martial arts world, his body-relieving science was certainly very high. A figure whose internal energy was already at the level of acting on a whim. The highest level of magic

Monk Tian Kong floated above the roof of his residence. He circled around the neighborhood with his high-level vision. The old man's face looked very confused.

"How strange! I could feel a very terrifying force outside. But why did it suddenly vanish. W-was it maybe just my feeling?" thought Monk Tian Kong.

Bongg...

The great bell of the Temple of God was rung. It was a sign of great danger. Everyone rushed to the main building of the Temple of the Gods. So did Monk Kaiming and Monk Tian Kong.

"Disciples of the Temple of Gods salute!" said all the monks of the Temple of Gods as they knelt down to see the arrival of Monk Kaiming and Monk Tian Kong.

"What's going on?" asked Monk Kaiming, the tenth-generation head of the Temple of God.

"Someone has disturbed the Great Hall," replied one of the disciples.

Monk Kaiming and Monk Tian Kong immediately darted inside. They went straight to the Great Hall, the place that was considered the most sacred in the place. The place where there were three huge statues of the Three Highest Gods A place guarded by the Eighteen Golden Body Monks, who were all above average in the martial arts world.

How shocked the two main monks were when they saw that the Great Hall had been forcefully opened! The door was shattered into pieces. While the situation inside made everyone shudder to see it. Three supreme god statues had their heads severed and were lying on the ground. While eighteen Golden Body Monks lay unconscious on the ground.

"Palm of Blood God!" exclaimed Monk Tian Kong and Monk Kaiming simultaneously.

'I'll be back in a hundred days. Revenge for ten years of debt must be paid. Cut the Kaiming Monk's neck like that statue. Otherwise all the teachers and disciples of the Temple of God will be wiped out!"

"Amitabha!"

A sight that made the two supreme people of the God Temple shudder. On the wall, right behind the three supreme deity statues, was written a threatening sentence. Right above it was a black and red palm that still exuded a terrifying power.

"Te-turns out I was right. Karma in the name of the Liong family demands retribution. No one will be able to stop that karma. The Palm of the Blood God is a supreme skill that has never been matched," said Monk Kaiming softly.

Tian Kong, the temple's most powerful monk, was silent. He knew the Blood God Palm Punch was a dangerous legendary skill. It is said that people whose level of magic power in their bodies is still relatively low but who master this knowledge can defeat people who have the highest level of magic power.

"Put that aside for now. Let's help these eighteen golden body monks," said Tian Kong Monk to awaken Kaiming Monk.

Tian Kong Monk then tried to resuscitate the eighteen Golden Body Monks. After smelling the soul-returning scent in the bottle in his right hand, the eighteen monks slowly began to wake up.

"Did you have a chance to fight with that person?" asked Tian Kong Monk to one of the eighteen golden-body monks.

"Let alone fight; we didn't even see his form. Suddenly we were hit with a power-weakening jolt. And you need to know, it wasn't the scent that made us wake up; it was the time limit that had expired," replied one of the golden body monks as he pointed at another wall.

'You have only been temporarily paralyzed. Within a drink of tea, you will be back to normal!" Another inscription was posted on the wall.

"God's Finger Science! Who exactly is this person?" murmured monk Tian Kong. "I know that. The fragrance is just to speed up your recovery." replied Monk Tian Kong after a while lost in thought.

"Thank you for your generosity, elders. May elders live long," the eighteen golden-body monks thanked.

"Get up; in a hundred days we will have guests. I hope you are well prepared to welcome this guest. Let's show that the temple of God is an excellent host to receive guests."

Monk Tian Kong stared intently ahead. Behind his words was a great deal of frustration. The words good host were a signal that the people of the temple of God should prepare to welcome the enemy, who promised to come in a hundred days. To him, the temple of God must not be humiliated in the way that the mysterious person had just done.

"A good guest should greet the host, not hide away with a haughty attitude!" He growled in a high tone of voice, hoping that the person in question would hear.
