"the sensation filled my lips and my tongue then went straight into my head. then I felt it pass through every nerve in my body and settle at my heart. the electrifying feeling was something out this world. It was the feeling of love and its power."
The two lovebirds were still kissing even after the battle had begun. Kojiro stood back to protect them within his barrier while the others proceeded to mow down the enemy.
All of Mina's assertions were on point. the robot army that charged at them was powerful. their punches were fast, precise, and it felt as if one would instantly die if he got hit by them.
the way they moved was awfully machine-like and one could understand why they didn't use handheld weapons after seeing the amount of blades they could eject from different parts of their bodies.
but despite the the intimidating features these things had, the only problem that Inumaki and his boys had was the problem of numbers.
their metal bodies were no problem for Fubuki's icicles, all he had to do was give them a little freezing touch then pierce through.
They didn't fare well against Inumaki's lightning strikes. they didn't do well against any of his other elements either. his fire burned them from the inside and he basically drowned their circuits with his water. he didn't use much of the earth because people were around but him wind blades were running wild. all that came against him couldn't leave in one piece.
as for Rosewell, the robots didn't need to do much calculations to understand that he was dangerous. He walked majestically into the battle, evading the most critical of hits with just the slightest bit of movement that somehow took someone's head off. anything he touched got sliced into a whole lot of pieces; and I mean a whole lot because the pieces could not be counted. there was a whole lot of irreversible disassembly going on at that side
Meanwhile, kojiro was in his impenetrable barrier watching a completely different event unfold. As it turns out, Yen wasn't kissing Mina for no reason. Through the contact of of lips, body and soul, a transfer of energy occurred.
Her hair became as white as the midday clouds and her outfit looked like they were made of light, and just like Yen she was covered in sparks of lightning.
Mina looked at the man she had fallen for and felt her heartbeat resonate with his. looking into his eyes, she could tell what his thoughts were and what he was thinking at the moment was "let's do this....together." and on realizing this, Mina cracked the smile of someone that was about to cause mass destruction.
as my heart races,
I have no fright.
as my heart races,
I I'll lose no fight.
as my heart races,
all my worries dissolve
as my heart races,
I'm one with my love.
The all-powerful Rosewell had ended his majestic walk and entered into a beautiful flowery rampage. his enemies couldn't follow his movements and none of them could predict where he was coming from due to the increase in his speed and the unknown trajectory of the petals that followed him.
his speed was incredible, evasion was flawless and his brutality was off the charts. there was no stopping him. as of that moment, he was the strongest in the battlefield, or so he thought.
In the midst of his flowery rampage, he felt a hand grabbing on to the sword on his left side from behind. as he turned to see who it was, the presence he felt switched direction and he saw no one. he immediately turned in the right direction but what saw left him stunned.
all that was in front of him was the very definition of desolation. In the blink of an eye, every enemy around him had fallen and only his allies were left standing. It didn't take long for him to realise who did it.
"that man is incredible" he said out loud unknowingly.
"not only him though" Kojiro replied as he walked towards Rosewell. that was when Rosewell realised that something was off.
At first he had thought that he felt the presence of two people but they were identical and moving in the same direction so he concluded that it was one very powerful person, but when he looked around and saw that Mina wasn't with them, he said to his brothers "I don't feel I should be understanding what just happened here"
"I didn't even get a chance to show off" Fubuki said.
"by the way..." he added
"just how far did they go?"
Mina looked back at the destruction that she and Yen had left behind and said "I definitely made a miscalculation". she had expected the fight to last a bit longer but as she noticed, it was over. the number of soldiers she and Yen had taken down was estimated to be about five hundred thousand but the amount of time in which it was done was about ten seconds.
"all this, just because of a kiss" she muttered as she looked at herself in disbelief
"who the hell are you?" she said as she glared at Yen
and he replied "I'm Yen" with all sincerity.
"anyway let's head back" she said as she turned back to return to the others but Yen immediately called her back and asked "who is that person coming towards us from the distance?"
the person could not be recognized from afar but as soon he came closer, the words that came out of Mina's mouth were "oh shit!!"
"who is that?" Yen asked, not knowing what was going on.
"they call him 'Albus' the white flame" Mina answered
"he's the most powerful of all the prophets in the order"
"so should we run?" Yen asked
"I'm at least confident that I can escape"
"no need for that" Mina replied
"we can take him"
"so what where you worried about?" Yen asked
"you will soon find out"
the man was finally in front of them, standing and looking carefully at both of them as he stroked his snowy beard.
"who would have thought...." he said
"....that the one causing all this trouble would turn out to be you?.... my daughter"
"Don't you ever call me that again" Mina said angrily "I am no longer under your authority, and I was never your daughter" "I have transversed the oceans of the earth. I have survived the cruelty of nature. I have done things that even you deemed impossible. So when you talk to me, don't treat me like I'm the little girl you once knew" "PUT SOME RESPECT ON MY NAME!!!" "That was a nice speech" Albus said as he stroked his grey beard "But do you have the strength to prove it?" he said as pure white flames began to form behind him. He raised his hand and pointed to Mina and all the flames shot in her direction. The flames exploded on impact with high intensity and the shockwaves reached very far. The brightness of the explosion was blinding and the heat was of one that could burn steel. But after the explosion calmed down and the smoke cleared, Mina and Yen stood within the resulting crater unharmed. They stood within a dense lightning barrier and watched A
"RAIKEN!!!" Mina yelled as she punched Albus in the face with a fist covered in lightning and sent him flying. She did not wait for him to land before launching her next attack with a bolt lightning and immediately after that, she rushed towards him and began a barrage of attacks moving faster than the speed a normal eye could follow. Each attack was faster and stronger than the former. Mina didn't leave any opening for Albus so he created one for himself. Mina was about launch her next attack when she found herself evading another concentrated flame. It didn't come from Albus' direction but from behind and she look back, she saw a whole lot of light balls. Mina already knew the next action to take... run. With all her might Mina fled the area before the barrage flames rained on her and Yen was waiting where she stopped. "Need my help now?" Yen asked "Nahh, I just need a weapon" she replied "Well our swords didn't survive the rampage, you have a crossbow th
Mina woke up in Yen's arms on the back of a moving open-roofed pick up truck. "Where are we headed?" She asked, looking up at Yen "We are going back to the fortress" Yen replied. "Don't worry just rest" "We'll be there in no time" "In the mean time, you need to recover your energy" Although Mina didn't fully understand the situation, she trusted Yen and closed her eyes to sleep. She was too tired to ask about the truck, or who the two people in the front were and how they found them. She had a lot of questions she wanted to ask but she needed to sleep more than anything so despite the bumpy ride, she slept soundly throughout the journey. The first thing Mina saw as she opened her eyes for the second time was the walls of the fortress. Once again, she woke up in Yen's arms but there was no truck, just the two people in front. "Who are they?" She asked with the tone of an exhausted person and one of them turned back to answer. "I am Lee Shuan Gou" h
"I come from a time long before the order. In my time there was no magic but we had reached a point where our technology was almost magical. Men could fly and there was no illness or disability that couldn't be treated. We solved all the global issues such as hunger, war and global warming. In other words, we created Paradise on earth. It was all good. There was peace, there was harmony and everyone lived a good life. The only things we couldn't find answers to were social problems, the problem of eternal life on earth and a few other question that remained unanswered throughout history. This time was worthy of being called 'the age of Paradise' No one at the time expected their Paradise to be turned into hell but it did. It did not happened slowly but overnight and it was not a sight one could bear to look at. The source of our hell was that which we had televised and ridiculed throughout the ages. It was a machine uprising. In a world where almost everything was
As they went further into the city, Mina was surprised to see that most of the people were already settled down. "It's not even getting dark yet" she said In awe. "Well she isn't called a queen for nothing" she added "It was Yamato" a distant voice said "It was Yamato that did it" the voice said again They turned to see Inumaki walking towards them. He explained everything to them. The the people had settled, the order of the fortress was established, and the new appointed leader. While everyone was in battle, Yamato brought the people into the fortress. He singlehandedly cleared and refurnished enough buildings to accommodate everyone. By the time we came back, he was already registering people in as citizens. He knew more about leadership than any of the others so they left the role to him. Also the queen retired. "I would like to meet this queen of yours" Susan said "I would also like to meet Yamato" she added. So they took her to the queen's resi
Albus walked through the halls of his lab in a frenzy. His rage was visible and could be felt from miles away. "What's the status on the pathfinder" he asked as someone handed him a file. "So it's still the same" he said as he looked into the file "YOU INCOMPETENT BASTARDS!!!" He yelled, throwing away the file and walking into one of the rooms. It was an old room full of books and the person that Albus came to see had his back turned. "Our legion was defeated" the man said "Our subjects were taken" "Our most powerful prophet met his match" "And not a single one of our enemies was harmed" "The council is not happy" "These rebels have created a nation and soon they will coming for ours" "So do we strike back immediately?" Albus asked and the man replied "No" "This is not the time to use crude methods" "We already have a plan they won't see coming, so don't worry yourself, General Albus" the man said and Albus replied "Yes,
So there they stood, before hungry undying beasts, ready to engage and enter the fray. Then Mina asked "What exactly is the plan?" and there was a momentary pause "We...don't exactly have a plan" Susan answered "The divinity of these creatures wasn't something I was aware of until today" "If it is true that they are immortal, we could only take on a handful of them, but these guys are too much in number for us to handle" "I suggest we run" "That won't be necessary" Yen said out loud "I already know what we should do" he said "What is it?" everyone asked "Well, it's quite simple" Yen answered "We will keep the beasts busy, while our dear Susan figures out a way to capture them" "But that would take a long time" Susan said, and Yen turned back and looked her in the eye then said "YOU HAVE TIME" before running off into midst of the beasts. "I have time" Susan muttered repeatedly "I have time..." "I have time..." "I have time..."
Three years passed with peace and there was no attacks from the order. It seemed that the defeat of Albus had caused them to take their enemies more seriously and make bigger, longer preparations. Mina and the others didn't know what the order was planning but they definitely weren't doing nothing. They had managed to raise an army of thousands; all valiant and powerful, each unit with their own speciaty. There was the 'Storm riders' who rode large mounts into battle. Most of them wielded wind and lightning techniques, and the elites among them rode their elements. This unit was trained by Minna who knew more about Yen's power he did. Yen on the other hand joined in training under her. Another unit was the 'ground breakers' who specialized in 'ground breaking' earth and fired techniques. Led by Inumaki these warriors have been trained to bend the ground below them to their will, and the fire users among them helped in their eruption techniques. Inumaki doubled as the l
