The battles in both Shiro's house and school were settled. but let's not forget that some hunters were sent to his favourite restaurant (Tanaka's).
In the words of Yamato who was there, "not really much happened". but when someone says such a thing while scratching his head and looking away from the questionnaire, it becomes evident that a whole lot went down.
It was a rare sunny day unlike the other days that Fubuki island lived up to its name(Fubuki means snow storm). On days like this, a lot of people loved be outdoors, it also meant that a lot of people ate outdoors on days like this, and restaurants gained a lot more customers than usual.
Tanaka's restaurant always took advantage of this and so did Yamato. He was was skipping school to run a whole day shift. the apparent reason was because other employees also wanted to get a feel of the rare warmth that came with the day, but the real reason was because of money. If he could could cover for his colleagues he would get their bonuses for the day, and on this particular day he was covering for everyone.
Most people would wonder how one person would be able to single-handedly manage the service of an entire establishment, but in the case of Yamato things went quite smoothly. He was able handle every single task on his own. not really on his own but you already know what I'm getting to.
At first the customers were surprised that all twenty-five of the staff in the restaurant had the same face, but soon that surprise turned into amazement after they saw how well the clones worked. It took great skill and concentration to properly manage a single clone, but Yamato was controlling more than twenty with little difficulty. What's more surprising was that ;Tanaka's was an entertainment based restaurant, which meant that there was always a kind of acrobatic display and service on each table depending on what the customers paid for, but even that aspect was handled flawlessly.
In the absence of his boss and colleagues, Yamato managed to keep the restaurant functioning at full pace with the only problem being the guys that walked in looking for Shiro.
As soon they barged in, everyone in the restaurant knew that they were up to no good. the weapons they carried were very visible and those of them that didn't carry any weapons already had a spell activated. It was quite evident that they were there to do serious damage.
Some customers wanted to run but were stopped by the loud noise of of a gunshot accompanied by "NOBODY MOVE!!" those that wanted to call for help had their phones shot out of their hands meanwhile Yamato and his clones continued their work like nothing was going on.
The leader of the hunting party (known as mark, a master marksman) was quite infuriated by Yamato's actions and shot at one of his clones. To his surprise, his bullet was caught. In an angered frustration, he shot a barrage of bullets at the same clone and still it had no effect. Instead the clone turned to the customer beside him and asked "sir, may I take your order"
With a voice mixed with fright and surprise, the customer replied with "But we are in a dangerous situation" to which Yamato answered "that will not affect our service sir, so please order"
Hesitantly, the customer made his order and the clone walked towards the kitchen to get it, not minding the hunters behind him. The infuriated hunters burst into a frenzy and started attacking everything in their sight, they were unable to tolerate the disrespect and disgrace that they were showered with.
At first glance, it looked like the hunters were doing some significant damage, but after a few minutes customers began to notice that not much was being done on the side of the hunters. Meanwhile on Yamato's end, he was stopping every single attack that went into every direction. there was no attack from the hunters that hit their target, not even stray bullets.
Yamato was a master at water manipulation. He could manipulate water at a molecular level with utmost accuracy and he knew how to use it against all kinds of opponents, so it did not matter what any of hunters abilities was, he was able to stop each one of them.
To add insult to the injury of the hunters, Yamato made the customers feel comfortable and gave them popcorn to watch and enjoy the show. They got angrier but there was nothing they could do. they were unable to reach the customers due to the water barrier that Yamato had set up and on the other hand, they were getting their asses handed to them by his clones.
In a few minutes the commotion was over and the restaurant continued to function normally. Tanaka's restaurant was later rated as the safest place to eat, and this attracted more customers. on hearing this, Yamato took in a very deep breath and uttered "UBANESHI!!"
While all the battles took place, Shiro was lying on a park bench staring at the eternal tower in front of him. it was called eternal because no one could really tell how old it was. even scientifically it was seen as something that was just recently built, but in reality it was present even before the island's discovery. it was even stated in the old tales of Nihon. no one knew the history of this tower and Shiro wondered "am I so bored that I'm thinking of this right now?" After that question, it didn't take long for his boredom came to an end. His situation got a transition from bored to endangered really quickly with the arrival of an unexpected person. Shiro didn't think, he didn't even stop to quiver in fear or come up with a plan. He immediately turned his back and ran. He just wasn't ready to die twice. from the perspective of normal people, the wind blew briefly, but from Shiro's point of view, it was a chase that lasted about twenty minutes in relative time and yet
In accordance to Victor's predictions, Shiro began to experience his opponent grow in strength. In a comparison of actual strength and energy levels, Shiro would have no problem defeating the armored man but the circumstances surrounding the postponement spell makes it difficult. It was as if the universe itself would do anything to keep the man alive until his fated battle began. It didn't matter how weak he was everyone that wasn't his opponent would be made weaker. As the exchange of blows continued, so did Endo's growth in Strength. Shiro was still landing solid blows but he kept getting back up like a "shonen MC" while Shiro kept his usual pace. soon enough, Endo's counter attacks began but Shiro was yet to be in danger. He stepped up pace, becoming more agile and delivering a double counter. "you're not the only one that can move abnormally" he said with a smile "now come at me you age old anomaly" Shiro had little hesitation in his movements, instead he
"Why noww?, why now?" for some reason, Tanaka's car seemed to be facing some major technical difficulties. She had turned the key multiple times but the engine wouldn't even cough. "Why aren't you using a Shin Sekai brand?" Yamato asked out of curiosity. Tanaka's restaurant was quite successful and it didn't didn't seem like she was financially lacking. Also, Shin Sekai products were very affordable and much more efficient than others. The reason she chose to distance herself from them was not something one could easily guess. "It's a long story" she answered as she opened the bonnet and started looking for what was wrong with the car. It didn't take long before Tanaka started panicking. "Oh no no no no no no" "what's it?" Yamato asked "It's fried" she answered "what's fried?" Yamato asked "everything....everything's fried" she replied in panic it didn't take Yamato long to guess that the cause of the breakdown wasn't just due to poor quality "this was a sab
As Orie watched Shin, he heard the voices of the gods saying "Time up. It's his turn now." and the markings on body faded away. Then he snapped his fingers and was immediately dressed like his normal self with the overcoat and scarf and backed away. Shin grabbed Endo and jumped out of the pit then put him in a sitting position and said to him "I need you to listen to me" The rage inside Endo was too much. there was no way he was going to comply with the man that massacred his entire kingdom but that wasn't the only reason. Everyone; including Shin found it strange that throughout the entire ordeal, he didn't utter any word. If anyone was as enraged as Endo was he would have at least let out some the rage verbally and even if his mind was in disarray, a thousand years alone was quite enough to come up with a meticulous plan to exact his revenge. But for some reason every decision Endo made so far was crude as if he didn't even care about revenge. It was as if his objective was to
"magic, supernatural abilities, superpowers, talents, quirks... we call it many things depending on where we come from, what we learned and how it rolls off the tongue. Those who have it cultivate it and integrate into their daily lives, those who don't have it sometimes study it, but the question that is asked on both sides is the question of its origin. hardly anyone in the world knows the origin of this thing we call 'magic' people have studied and searched but to no avail. there is no culture on earth that has any records of its origin. this was baffling to the archeologists, something that was so significant had no story that spoke of its origin. Human beings have searched without rest for an answer that I have. all they have to do is ask any priest but they don't want 'superstitious' answers. what they do not understand is that those 'superstitious' answers are true facts so they wallow in their answerless search." "I KNOW THE ORIGIN, I KNOW THE ROOT." My visions tell m
01011000, 10000101, 01-01-1000, 1000-01-01. The one thing all these numbers have in common is the memory that they trigger (and also the fact that they're binary but that's not the issue). once someone comes in contact with any of them, they are immediately reminded of the beginning of recorded history. one day the entire world gained what was perceived as free will. they never felt chained or forced against their will before then but after that day, they felt like they were finally able to do what they truly wanted. This led to a whole year's worth of chaos and was the first ever recorded event in history. events before that time could not be recorded because there was hardly anyone with memories of them and no one knew why(generally speaking). It was also a wonder why there were no records of the past before then but there was no record to depend on to tell why there was no record. In the end the chaotic year was dubbed the year of oblivion and everyone one went on with
Uzo's most memorable moment took place in his childhood when his power first manifested. there was a time of the year when all the children in the village were brought before the prophets and asked various questions mostly their names and if they had any special ability. he remembered when his turn came to answer those questions. "what is your name?" the prophet asked calmly "Uzo'ndu" he replied. as soon as he uttered his own name, everything stopped for a moment and within that moment he saw multiple instances of his death within the next few days, all of which he could not understand and somehow knew how knew what to do to prevent it. The first step was to lie when he was asked the next question. "Do you have any special abilities?" "No" "Do you feel energy flowing through you?" "What's energy?" "Do you feel tingly in any part of your body?" "Yes, in my stomach, when I get hungry" "Don't joke with me kid" "You seem to be the one joking with me" And th
"come to think of it, I don't know how my village came to be" "and now it's been destroyed and wiped out of history...." "wait....." "what is history?" these thoughts ran through Uzo's mind as he evaded the fleet's lasers and headed back towards the ruined village. he was glad when he saw the entire fleet follow him back and he was assured of his family's safety. as soon as he reached the outskirts of the village, he immediately sunk his arm into the ground and turned it as if he had held on to something. then suddenly two cannons rose up from the ground and began firing at the fleet. "my power amazes me sometimes" Uzo said as he sat back and watched the beautiful display of fireworks. The show was fun and all but it had to come to an end at some point, and that point wasn't when neither side could no longer fire anything at each other. the fleet was the first to run out and they received a lot of damage until Uzo's cannons ran out. but the show was far from over an
