"come to think of it, I don't know how my village came to be"
"and now it's been destroyed and wiped out of history...."
"wait....."
"what is history?"
these thoughts ran through Uzo's mind as he evaded the fleet's lasers and headed back towards the ruined village.
he was glad when he saw the entire fleet follow him back and he was assured of his family's safety. as soon as he reached the outskirts of the village, he immediately sunk his arm into the ground and turned it as if he had held on to something. then suddenly two cannons rose up from the ground and began firing at the fleet.
"my power amazes me sometimes" Uzo said as he sat back and watched the beautiful display of fireworks.
The show was fun and all but it had to come to an end at some point, and that point wasn't when neither side could no longer fire anything at each other. the fleet was the first to run out and they received a lot of damage until Uzo's cannons ran out. but the show was far from over and Uzo was very aware of the event that was about to unfold.
He stretched and flexed his muscles as he watched the remaining ships land and open their doors. and from inside the ships came large troops, all looking like they were the embodiment of tactical gear. each one of them covered head to toe with armour, the night vision goggles that they were obviously not going to use in the hot afternoon, and of course the guns, who doesn't like guns.
The guns seemed high-tech and quite powerful but unfortunately they didn't get much use after the first few shots.
Uzo with his incredible speed immediately got in their midst taking them down. he did it bare handed(and also barefoot(and also bare chested) so the best way was to either punch a hole through his foes, rip them apart, or use their own weapons against them. but as the battle unfolded, Uzo showed no intention of using the third option, partly because he was doing fine with the first two and mostly because what the soldiers were.
"these are not men" he said as he ripped apart their synthetic flesh and wires that held them together. "but they sure look like they were made by men" he added as he continued his savagely evasive attack.
as time passed, Uzo began nearing his limits. he could no longer completely evade the attacks that were directed towards him and as time progressed, he started getting hit. even though he could see every move the enemy was making and how to stop them he had become too weak to carry out his evasive actions. and this continued until he finally fell from exhaustion.
as he laid there with time moving slower than it should, Uzo looked up at the evening sky and thought
"at the point of my death, why couldn't the clouds give way, so I could see a beautiful sunset."
"Instead they remain up there, refusing me a sight of beauty and unwilling to shroud my agony in the rain" these thoughts ran through his mind as he got tired of watching his life flash before his eyes and closed it. then a second thought of "one more time" ran through and his eyes opened with the brightest glow known to man.
everything and everyone one that was near him got pushed back by the intense force that came from him. then at the top of his voice, he yelled "AMADIOHA!!!" and lightning struck the earth around him with a force no man could withstand, and the thunder that came from it could be heard from where Uzo's family were. Ada and her mother were worried but they made a promise to keep going and did not stop.
the lightning struck around Uzo for several hours, preventing anyone from coming close. anyone who dared was immediately reduced to ashes and all the soldiers could do was to stand and wait as nothing could pass the lightning barrier.
after a few minutes the lightning barrier seemed to have gotten weaker. the intense force could no longer be felt and the thundering was no longer heard. but as the soldiers got closer, they saw a man kneeling next to Uzo. his hair was as white as white could be, his eyes were as blue as an ocean of sapphires and he was clad in a pure white garment. the surrounding lightning flowed into him until none was left. and then he stood up and looked around him.
before the soldiers could take the initiative and attack he had already begun, and in a manner of seconds, he was the only one standing. then he walked over to Uzo and picked him up facing the direction of the forest.
Meanwhile, Ada and her mother were finally close enough to the forest to see the entrance. they had no problem getting there but the distance took a lot out of them. they were tired and hungry and the only thing that kept them going till morning was hope and sheer will. as they got closer, they could see someone running towards them from the entrance of the forest.
"are my eyes deceiving me?" Ada wondered as she rubbed her tear filled eyes "Isn't that Uzo?" she said as looked again. and Indeed it was Uzo. she forgot all her exhaustion and and ran to hug her brother, there was no word that could be used to describe the amount of joy she felt. tears of joy fell as the family was reunited. even though they were just separated the day before, it felt like it had been years. then Uzo's mother popped the question "but how did you get here before us?" but Uzo didn't seem to have an answer, he just remained dumbfounded until he was told to not worry about it. they headed into the forest to begin their new life.
Inside the forest, they met a few people who were already living there and they were given a warm welcome. Uzo spent most of his years using his power to try and figure out the true meaning and purpose of the Order, but his power was not the type to show him what he wanted to see. he aimed at causing the true end of order but even after he looked through fifty years of the future he didn't get the information he was looking for. although he did get an instruction that would lead to the true end of the order, he never got see it happen.
Uzo went ahead to live a prosperous life and have prosperous family till the day he accepted the embrace of death. but long before that, he became the first 'Dibia' and represented the gods.
Under the instruction of the gods, Uzo sent his second son who would become the next Dibia on a mission to retrieve Amadioha's thunder in order to thank him properly.
from the long line of second sons, none of the Dibia completed their mission. It wasn't because they couldn't but it was because they would rather not. but the gods kept telling them to pass on the mission to the next Dibia in order to achieve their true mission which only the gods knew.
as we have come this far with the story, there is something that I have felt the need to do. you surely have noticed that some of the words I use are not common or do not exist in the English dictionary. well that's because they're not English (obviously). one could check on G****e or use any other translation software but you might be led astray. not because the translation is wrong (it is sometimes) but because one word could mean different things and most translations don't take metaphor into account. what I'll be doing isn't translations. but rather, I'll be trying to let you see the meaning of those words from my own perspective. I won't be explaining much unless I feel it's necessary. so without further ado, let's get into it. FUBUKI: this this is Japanese word for snowstorm. in this story it is used as Natsumi's surname and it is also the name of the island most of the story's events take place. OTUMOPKOR: the 'O's are supposed to have dots underneath them but I
For days, the lightning walked past countless villages, scaled many mountains and crossed hundreds of rivers. he didn't know why he saved Uzo's life, he didn't know why he left the forest, he didn't know where he was going, he didn't even know who he was. all he knew was that he was going in the direction of where he should be. hunger and thirst could not stop him, neither could the dangers that lurked in the dark. there was nothing on his mind other than the direction he needed to go. this continued until he arrived at beach and couldn't go further. he was sure that he wasn't in the place he was meant to be but he could no longer tell which direction to go. as he contemplated his next decision, he laid on the sand and fell into a deep slumber. he slept for hours until he was finally woken up by the waves that crashed into him and after that a great amount of pain came upon his stomach. he soon noticed that it was hunger but he had nothing to eat so he had to bear it. n
Mina's agony was apparent. the tears that fell down her cheeks were filled with great sadness. on the other hand, Yen was sure that he had arrived in his destination, the problem was to do when he got there. he was aware of Mina's pain but he didn't know what to do about it, and before he could do anything he was distracted by a loud voice that said "we have you surrounded. come out with your hands in the air" on hearing the voice, Mina's sadness immediately switched to anger. "I want those bastards dead" she said as she reached for her crossbow and got ready for battle. then she looked outside and saw the great number that she was up against. it was like a welcoming party of death. each one of them looked dangerous and hard to deal with and Mina immediately realized how irrational her decision was and crawled to the part of the deck that couldn't be seen from outside. "don't listen to them" she said, looking at Yen "It doesn't matter what we do, they're still going to ki
the walls stood tall, the gates shone like the morning sun, but what surprised Mina the was the fact that Yen called it his new home. "What do you mean?" she asked "how can you be so sure?" she added. and Yen replied "I don't know, but I have this great feeling that I'll spend most of my days here" "there are a lot of things I do without fully understanding them" he added "this is one of them" he said as he threw a lightning bolt at the gate forcing it open. Mina's expectation was for a large number of armed guards to immediately rush out and face them, but the actual response was quite calm. the gate opened and a single person came from within. a Middle aged man stood in front of Yen and Mina asking the questions "who are you? and what is your aim here?" "I'm a traveller." Yen answered "and I need a place to stay" he added "so you are the intruders H.Q was talking about" the man said as his already angry looking face began to look angrier. "how did
after a few minutes of walking through tall storage buildings, they finally they finally came to a wide open space in the middle of the city. there were a few residential buildings around (mostly mansions) and at the centre, a tower stood. the tower was taller than every other building in the city and it had an architectural style that made it unique from the times. Inumaki led them to the largest and most beautiful mansion of all. and at the entrance, they were stopped. "do not proceed any further" a voice came from inside and four young men darted out ready for battle. they all had that serious look as if it was their first time having to defend the mansion. "these guys are definitely noobs" Mina whispered. "it's quite apparent" Yen whispered back. taking a deep breath, Inumaki said as calmly as he could "let us in, we have a message for the queen." but the answer was "no" "we know that you were defeated by that man" one of the young men said pointing at Yen.
"why are you defying your queen?" she yelled in desperate anger. "it is your duty to protect me, why are you refusing to do that?" "I'm not abandoning my duty" Yamato replied. "I'm just choosing to not senselessly attack a man that can end me when he just wants to talk" "so mother, if we don't to listen to him right now, we will be doing so in a charred state." "my refusal is for your own safety" meanwhile Mina was wondering "he's her son right?" and Inumaki answered her "they're all her sons, all four of them" "isn't she supposed to protect them?,not the other way round?" Mina asked, and it became clear to her that no one there understood how family works because Inumaki didn't have an answer to her question. "what of the father?" she asked, and Inumaki answered "he is no longer with us" and Mina sighed and said out loud in frustration "these guys are bred like ants" and everyone heard it. the one who took offence to the comment was none other than the
as they all stood in a daze watching the missiles fly through the air, Yen thought to himself "before my descent, I heard a name called out loudly. I believe it to be the name of my father, the one who made me and has been directing my path. I believe to be a name that is called in the time of need. and I believe it is the name I should call now" and with all the power in his breath, he yelled "AMADIOHA!!!" and from the clear afternoon sky, lightning fell into his right hand which he had raised up and it was overflowing with energy. he swung the hand forward and a huge amount of lightning came out and formed a blanket above all of the villages, causing all the missiles to explode midair. it was a sight to behold. everyone that saw it stood in awe, not just at the power but also at the beauty. it was truly magnificent. after being amazed, Mina and the others made their way to the nearest village to try and warn them about the coming dangers and to also convince them to make t
the speech was a success. Mina took advantage of the fact that most of villagers were young people that didn't have a solidified belief in the words of the order. by Mina's intuition, it was speculated that the reason why there weren't any actual elders in the villages was because of the wisdom and influence that came with age. If an elder questioned the order of things, a lot of young people would join him in it. so it was very possible that the elders were replaced with well programmed androids because if the elders didn't question, the young ones wouldn't be motivated to do so. and according to Mina's experience in her travels, the process of replacing elders would have continued until elders didn't need to be replaced and everyone followed the words of the order as if it was ingrained in them by nature. Uzo's village was an example of a huge success. every of the order's will was done naturally by the people. only the order knew how long it took them achieve that but one thi
