He was sure that there was a few more waves before this dialogue but that wasn't the case at the moment.
He looked back at the wave of Metas that were behind him and noticed something different; they had stopped advancing and were slowly backing away. This was a sign that their powers had gone off.
Orie then turned to his companions and said "Alright let's go" and they all band together and started walking past the numerous identical looking revengers. Shiro wanted to ask a question about their looks but he could just picture Orie in his mind yelling "CLASSIC GAME SHI**!!" and he kept quiet.
They hadn't walked from the army when the leader called Orie back saying "WAIT!!"
"You'll need this" he added as he tossed a car key to Orie and ran back to join his army who had begun advancing on the powerless Metas.
"He gave you the keys" Shiro said
"Then where's the car?" Mia asked
Orie looked at them for a short moment of silence before asking "how long have you guys been finishing each other's sentences.
"Anyways" he said
"Classic game shi**" he said with a smile as tossed the key in front of him and it turned into an all terrain vehicle.
No one questioned him. They just got in and sat quietly as Orie drove to their destination.
It was a long and silent drive but they finally got to their destination.
It was a lonely house in the middle of the desert. Not too run down but it was very old.
"Whoever built this definitely wanted to live quietly" Yamato said
"Yeah" Shiro added
"You can hardly see any other signs of life"
"Anyways" Shiro said
"What's the mission?" Mia asked
"It's quite simple" Orie answered
"Just protect the house"
"And don't let anyone get in"
"I don't see anybody" Yamato said
"Who exactly are we protecting the house from?" He asked
Orie just sniggered and let out an audible sigh.
"How many times am I going say this" he said in frustration
"Classic game shi**"
Then suddenly a multitude of people surrounded the house and began moving towards it. Some stopped to attack Orie and his team while others went straight for the house. Those that stopped to attack where fully armed with guns grenades and swords while the others were armed with little to no weapons.
"Shiro and Mia will take on the attackers" Orie said
"The rest of us will prevent the others from breaking into the house"
"The attackers are more dangerous" Shiro said
"Wouldn't it be better for you to be among the ones taking them out?"
Orie just looked at him and smiled.
"I promise you" he said
"You're doing the easy part"
Soon, everyone was occupied with battle and no one had time to stop and even say a word. Their opponents were easy and could be taken out with a minimal amount of hits, but their numbers was something else. They swarmed from every direction and ran towards the house with no deceleration. It was as if the battle had no end.
They all wanted to say to Orie "how much longer do we have to fight?". They all wanted to say to him "We are running out of stamina" but they were too occupied by the mission to even turn their heads to where he was so they kept fighting, and fighting and fighting, until suddenly they heard a bell ring and all their enemies disappeared.
"Woah" Shiro sighed
"I am never teleporting to this place ever again"
"So how do we get out?" Yamato asked and Orie replied "Let's go inside the house"
When they went inside the house, they saw that it was much more beautiful than the exterior. Even though it was old fashioned, most of the things inside were new.
Inside, they met an old couple with a baby. The couple was grateful and showered them with words of appreciation.
When Natsumi accepted their thanks and touched the baby, she suddenly vanished.
"Ooh" Shiro said in realization
"So that's how we get out"
"Through the source"
"What do you mean the source?" Yamato asked
"It's like you skipped the cutscenes" Shiro replied
"It's quite obvious that this child is reason why the powers kept going on and off" he said
"Orie said he's the current king of Dahüd"
"I wonder how he is in real life"
The Shiro touched the baby and disappeared and every one did the same.
