Eddie's face looked pale because he was thinking too much about Jennifer and Evelyn. Even though he didn't want to think about Jennifer, the image of the woman's face kept appearing as if beckoning for help. The thing he really hated was that he felt uncomfortable because of Jennifer's shadow. Eddie seemed to feel like he had failed as a husband because he had not succeeded in educating and protecting his wife.

In fact, it was all Jennifer's own fault that she shouldn't have to worry about. But, what can I say, Eddie is really too kind and not the type of person who 'has the heart'. Eddie was only afraid that bad news would come regarding Jennifer's safety.

Sometimes it occurred to me that Jennifer could have been killed because of Shane, the bad thoughts of his imagination made Eddie lose his appetite. In addition, Evelyn's condition is still not recovered and he keeps calling himself and Jennifer delirious. Moreover, Evelyn was taken to hospital, which made Eddie eve
