Eddie stood on the terrace, the cool night air offering a momentary escape from the overwhelming tension inside. His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of footsteps approaching. He turned to see Lilya stepping out, her gaze sharp and determined.

“Eddie,” Lilya said softly, breaking the silence. “Can we talk?”

Eddie nodded, gesturing toward a secluded corner of the terrace. “Sure. What’s on your mind?”

As they walked over, Lilya’s face was a mask of professionalism, but her eyes betrayed concern. “I know this evening has been a lot to take in. Axton doesn’t play games. He’s serious about his business, and he expects results.”

Eddie leaned against the railing, his expression conflicted. “I’ve gathered that. But I’m also aware of the risks involved. Aligning myself with Axton and Rudolf isn’t exactly a walk in the park.”
