Amanda exchanged glances with his wife and the latter sighed. How was he supposed to persuade Eddie to let go? Maybe he was wrong after all not to have consulted him before taking the decision he took.

Julia walked in and took the few items in Agatha's hands away and saw that everyone's face looked gloomy, especially Eddie's who looked furious.

He had known Eddie all his life. He knew anyFrede he had this face and coldness, he was angry. He may go like that for hours without uttering a word to anyone.

He looked at everyone again and then turned to Jennifer. He squinted at her with a questioning look. The latter shrugged and looked away.

"Why's everyone quiet? Is anything the matter?" Julia asked. He looked towards his parents and then his brother. But none answered him.

Eddie just stood up and pulled Jennifer as he walked towards the exit. He didn't even wait for his parents who had come to take him to leave ahead of him.
