She wasn't unfamiliar with them. They knew her as the second master's woman. They helped her with her suitcase but the elderly maid in the house said she was to be welcomed in the second bedroom. That bedroom was next to the children's bedroom. The room was tidied and Rita settled in there. The room wasn't too far from the master bedroom where Julia occupies and she had slept there countless Fredes in the past. But for another three days, Rita didn't see Julia. He didn't come home during the day nor will he return at night. He was supposed to be having a honeymoon with his wife but he was having fun with his girlfriends in the hotel. He would get drunk and sleep with his woman. Next day, he would bathe and dress up before going to the company. Eddie knew he was keeping distance from him but didn't know he was married to Rita already. He didn't ask him either. Jennifer has tried getting them both back to their previous lives as friends but Julia would just snupped her.
He was not willing to get drunk anymore. He doesn't want to give a chance to allow a previous mistake to reoccur. He might probably be grieving and heartbroken, but what if Rosa isn't feeling the way he is feeling at the Frede. But contrary to what Josh thought, Rosa was down emotionally. She had overreacted. She was too harsh in her words to Josh and the latter never contacted her again. She missed him a lot. She couldn't even tell Agatha about what happened. It's all her fault. She had pushed him far away and it seemed like he was not willing to return. She wished he would return and asked her for a talk, she would readily welcome him back to her life but she doesn't want to lose her pride by taking the steps to get back with him. That evening, as Josh laid on his bed, he was thinking. He had studied in country A but decided to return to his current country D to find his real parents. His foster parents had told him he was an adopted son. They had lived in Country D
Jennifer looked at him and turned away. Julia is fighting a cold war with her and Eddie. He wants her to know that he doesn't appreciate what they did to him. "Julia, I know you are upset with your brother and myself. But please, I want you to let it go. I am not comfortable with you behaving so cold towards us. You are the only friend I've got in the entire Li's Group. If you keep snubbing me, I will not be able to feel comfortable and concentrate on my work…."Jennifer was coaxing him. But she didn't dare say she nor Eddie was sorry. There was nothing to be sorry about, Eddie did the right thing and took the right decision. "I just needed to be alone, Agatha. I don't want people around me that's why" Julia replied, without his usual cheerfulness. " I missed your smiles and friendship. I was wondering if we can go to lunch together today since my boyfriend is not around to accompany me" Jennifer asked. Clara held down his lower lip and closed his eyes. He doesn't
Eddie stopped in his tracks when he saw a man who felt familiar to his eyes. What's more, the man sitting sipping his drink in the corner of the café also looked in Eddie's direction."Who is he? But, I'm confused about where I met him before. If he's a man from the prison before, he seems too neat and charismatic. I remember clearly the scary faces of every inmate in that prison," Eddie muttered."What's wrong?" Eddie was startled by his friend who appeared from behind."Nothing, let's go." Eddie tried to remain calm as he walked towards an empty chair conveniently available near the unfamiliar man.
"Hey, you! Your eyes have been watching me since earlier, what's your problem, young man?"That question made Eddie stop eating. He glanced at the strange man who was looking at him while grinning sharply"I'm sorry, but I was just thinking that your face resembles someone I know, sir. I apologize if that makes you uncomfortable," Eddie said calmly. The man looked around and then pulled out a business card from his jacket pocket, tossing it towards Eddie. The card landed right on Eddie's plate of pasta, and as Eddie reached for it, the stranger got up from his seat."Contact me at that number, maybe we can discuss something. I'd like you to come alone, without your friend," the stranger said, patting Eddie on the shoulder before walking away. Eddie watched his steps as he neared the exit.A name was written on the card, 'Roland Brick', CEO of White Star Management."He's a CEO? In that case, he's not the person from prison, why would he give me this business card?" Eddie muttered, puz
"Simon, there's a beautiful woman who's been looking at you since earlier, maybe for almost a minute now without blinking."Eddie furrowed his brow and glanced puzzled at West, his current position facing West again making him curious about the woman who had been staring at his back."Maybe it's a freaky girl with a fetish for someone's back?" Eddie quipped with a chuckle.West shook his head quickly. "I'm serious, Simon, and now she's walking towards us! Damn it, have you dealt with a woman in this town?"West's voice lowered, and he immediately averted his gaze to the wall to avoid the woman, who was now approaching their table. Eddie finished the last of his drink and quickly turned around, meeting the gaze of the woman West had been talking about.Eddie's expression looked stunned when he saw the woman's face. He swallowed hard and said, "Livya?"Livya smirked slyly, and her hand quickly reached Eddie's face, which he couldn't avoid."How dare you, Simon!" Livya yelled, causing ev
'How are you? You haven't messaged me for a month, do you hate me?'Jennifer's message made Eddie sigh deeply. He closed his phone screen and put it back into his bag. Eddie's eyes wandered back to the dark streets. The factory sign was already visible, indicating that they would soon arrive after nearly 4 hours of travel. And sure enough, in less than five minutes, the car carrying them stopped right in front of the factory entrance."West, we've arrived, wake up," Eddie said to his friend who was still sound asleep. With half-closed eyes, West reluctantly stepped out of the car. Eddie just shook his head as his friend stumbled out as if he were drunk."Open your eyes, you can go inside--."Eddie's sentence suddenly stopped when someone hugged him from behind."Hi, I miss you."The soft whisper came from Celine, her hand even reaching for Eddie's sensitive area."Hey, not here," Eddie muttered softly, giving a friendly smile to Celine, yet for some reason, Celine's face now seemed to
Jennifer glanced at Simon, but he was having this 'i don't care attitude'. He seemed to be fully immersed on the phone in his hands. A quiet smile slightly tilted on his lips. The two people who want a daughter and granddaughter who look like either of them. They would be surprised that the girl was going to look like him. That's if it's a girl that has just been formed. " Yes mum. I just confirmed that I am pregnant today and I know it's going to be a girl" Jennifer was confident. " Oh Daniella dear!" Cara cannot hide her surprise and happiness. She heldDaniella's hands and smiled. Simon watched them from his split vision. The two women were happy and the younger woman was being treated like a celebrity. His mother was feeling really pleased that they were getting married that weekend. She said the Freding was perfect that her granddaughter is planted in Daniella's womb at the right Frede. She told her not to stress herself nor do anything that would wear her ou
