Peter needed not to be told, it was a pure threat from his friend and why does he feel that something isn't right?!

Everything about Alex now seemed strange to him, it was as though, he didn't know who he is standing with.

Without thinking, he removed his hand from Alex's neck and stood on his own. He began to stare at him as if he was going to find something right on his face but then he knew that it was not going to be possible.

One part him told him that it could be as a result of the things happening to you, who else wouldn't change after loosing his parents, his only family?

Whenever he remembers what he heard from his father, his heart bleeds for his friend. He wanted so much to tell his friend everything he has heard, everything he knew but then, it will pain him to see him hurt once again.

If Alex finds out that his father has a hand in his predicament, how would he see him now? Knowing full well that he took the man as an uncle. Or how would he feel if he finds out that their homeroom teacher is ticking time bomb set beside him, ready to deliver the finishing blow?!

If he then finds out his only friend knows about all these things and yet keeps it away from him, how would he feel?! Their Friendship will be destroyed if that happens.

All these things pained him deeply. He feels like he was being pierced with so many needles in his heart.

He could not tell his friend the truth, at least not now until he finds out the exact truth, until he has answer to all his future questions.

"Uhm man, I forgot that I have something very important to do," he said, retreating backwards. "When I'm done, I'll show around!" He yelled and immediately turned around.

As he ran, he wiped the tears threatening to fall from his eyes.

No one else saw this but Alex did. As he gazed at the retreating figure of his friend, he was pained. Although he was yet to be discover that his friend's father is also behind his sorrow, it still pained him that his friend didn't want to tell him the truth of what he knows.

Seeing him leave sadly, it pained him because he never wanted any of it to happen.

Alex did not go to the library again and returned to his hostel, by that time, it was night already.

As he sat by the window, gazing at the scenery outside, his mind was occupied with many thoughts. He desperately needed to find those killed his parents and revenge, now that he had the power to, this was his driving-force. If he doesn't avenge them, then his power is pretty useless.

The number one person in his list was the Dean. From the conversation he heard that day, the Dean is likely to be involved but he is not going to attack him first. The Dean should be last to be dealt with.

For now, he had to find ways to get his hand on the information. It was the most critical thing at the moment.

While he was still thinking, he suddenly remembered something.

'The letter!'

The letter that was mysteriously dropped at the doorstep of his ward. The letter didn't just appear them all of a sudden, someone must have dropped it for him but what could be the reason behind the person's action?

Who was he? A foe or a friend? Or perhaps someone that wants to gain from the whole thing.

These questions filled his mind and he knows that the only way to find out more was to get his hands on the letter again.

As such, he sprang to his feet and left his hostel.

On his way to the clinic, he heard a faint cry for help. At first, he ignored it, thinking it was just someone being dramatic. But as the cry grew louder and more desperate, Alex's curiosity got the better of him. He diverted from his path and followed the sound to a nearby alleyway.

The alleyway was dimly lit, with only a few flickering fluorescent lights to illuminate the scene. Alex's eyes scanned the area, and that's when he saw her - Elizabeth, his classmate and crush, the same girl who had made it clear to him that she hated him, being mishandled by a senior student.

The boy was towering over her, his hands grasping her wrists as he sneered in her face. Elizabeth's eyes were wide with fear, and her face was pale with terror. She struggled against the boy's grip, but he was too strong, and she couldn't break free.

Alex's eyes met Elizabeth's, and for a moment, they just stared at each other. Alex could see the fear and desperation in her eyes, but he couldn't bring himself to care. This was the same girl who had made his life miserable, who had gone out of her way to hurt him.

She had been relentless in her pursuit of making him feel worthless, and Alex had had enough. He had tried to ignore her, to rise above her petty insults and snide comments, but she had just kept pushing, determined to break him.

And now, as he stood there watching her struggle against the senior student, Alex felt a sense of satisfaction. She was getting what she deserved, and Alex wasn't going to lift a finger to help her.

Without hesitation, Alex turned and walked away, leaving Elizabeth to her fate. He didn't look back, didn't even flinch as he heard her cry out for him to help her. He just kept walking, his heart hardened against her.

The senior student was yet to notice his presence so he continued his assault.

The girl was on her own.

As Alex continued on his way to the clinic, Alex couldn't shake off the feeling that he had just made a big mistake. But he pushed the thought aside, telling himself that Elizabeth was just getting what she deserved.

She had made her bed, and now she had to lie in it. He was not going to lose any sleep over her, and he certainly wasn't going to risk his own neck to save her.

But as he walked, the image of Elizabeth's desperate face lingered in his mind. He tried to shake it off, but it stuck with him, haunting him like a ghost.

"Damn it!" He grunted and turned around again.

------

In the alleyway, the senior student had succeeded in stripping Elizabeth naked, leaving her barely covered in panties and bra.

"Please, don't —" she begged, choking on her words. "Don't do this to me. I'll give you anything you want, money, girls... Anything at all but please don't touch my body."

"Tsk!" The boy scoffed. "Do you think you can get away with the promise of money? You think because your parents are rich, no one can touch you? Wait until I'm done with you!"

"You— You'll pay dearly for this!" Elizabeth cried but the boy paid deaf ears to her words.

"I don't mind getting punished or even killed as long as I defile you myself. Your arrogance in this academy has come to an end!" He said and took out his phone. He had already tied her hands and feet, rendering her movements minimal.

She could only move her most at most but she won't be able to escape or even fight back.

"The whole academy will see your nakedness, let us see how you will continue to live proudly," he continued and turned on his phone's camera.

Elizabeth's face paled as the realization downed on her. This was definitely her end and she brought it upon herself.

"Hey, you can now stop," a voice said and when Elizabeth turned around, she saw Alex.
