A soldier was appointed by the captain in charge of the armory, to serve as the umpire for the duel, and he stood in between the young princes, who were now fully prepared with their armour, shields, and wooden swords.

King Lauihnio who was sitting down with the captain, very close to the duel ground made of clay, heaved a sigh because he saw this as a proud moment.

He however had less concern for the possible injuries that the lads may sustain, but he was eager to witness the extent of their skills for the sword, having being taught how to handle the sword since the time they were able stand comfortably on their two feet.

No doubt, the numerous sword drills organised by king Lauihnio for his sons, were very much met with criticisms from their mother, as she dimmed it premature and unnecessary for her tender sons, to learn the ways of war, pain, and blood.

The umpire signalled for the commencement of the duel among the young, and snarling in rage, they hurtled towards each other.
