Chapter 35

Archie arrived in front of the mansion with a small smile. He had booked a cab, the most expensive in the city, so that he didn't look like the worst person in the city. All he had to do was to make sure that he wasn't at any disadvantage physically so that he didn't get taken for granted.

"You're welcome" he was told when he got to the gate.

Two bouncers stared at him calmly like he was not supposed to be here but they didn't say anything when he showed them his invite. Now, the invite wasn't granted to just anybody, it was a way of solidifying that truly you were invited.

"May I go in now please?" He inquired when they kept on staring at him as if he was committing a crime that he was unaware of. For some it wasn't intentional for the others, it was.

"Yes, you may. Do you need anyone to show you the way?" One of the bouncers called. It was a subtle way of asking if their voice followed him because they didn't think that he was up to standard.
