Volume 1. Chapter 9 Unpredictable

Time and everyone returned to normal, no one knew what happened apart from Ligt and Vail.

The next day, after king Ligt felt his doubts had disappeared over the conversation he had with Vail.

All residents of Gerna are asked to gather…

“Why am I not confident right now?” King Ligt was awkward and didn't know what he would do in front of his people's eyes.

“King Ligt, Vail told me. And I will help you, let's make this world peaceful.” Mansa offers his help, because he also wants a peaceful world without inter-racial conflict.

Seven days later a reply letter arrived, the letter contained Una's anger and annoyance.

"Even though Mansa accepted the offer first, why she blaming us?" Cini was so annoyed by Una's reply to the letter.

“…….” Cini and Rii saw Vail coming out of the king's study.

“ Are you still talking about the same problem?” Rii wanted to know what Vail talked about with King Ligt.

"The matter regarding that matter has been handled, today I just told the king that I will be staying outside the palace," Vail told Rii and Cini about his conversation.

"What is the king's response?" Cini was curious.

“The king wants to buy me a house to live in,” Vail announced again.

"Then what about what we talked about?" Rii wanted to know Vail's clarity, because he was the one who suggested the proposal in last night's talk.

"Do we need to ask Una?" Cini is still confused about helping King Ligt.

"Blocking might release negative energy in King Ligt." Rii made a suggestion.

“Will the blocking go well?” Cini wants to make sure.

“The problem is, when do we do that…we agree to help secretly.” Vail again reminded the agreement in last night's chat.

"I'm hungry...we'd better eat first."

“Haa…it's you.”

The three of them headed to the dining room... Once there, they were surprised to find Mansa who was eating with one of the palace servants. The situation became awkward, three of them froze in front of the entrance, and in the end, they ran away.

"I never thought, Mansa would go on a date with a teenage woman." Rii was a little amazed and also felt a little guilty.

"Then make three portions for us, and do you provide food here?" Rii wanted to make sure, before he wrapped the food.

"We provide a place for buyers to eat here,"

"Then please make it for the three of us,"

"Okay...please wait."

They walked to the table, sat there, and waited for their orders.

“Finally I can sit down…”

“Concerning this, what shall we do?” Cini wanted to hear the answers from his two friends.

"For me, protecting Cindy and Una is a priority," Rii informed of his decision.

“I think so too, only I might be protecting Elia,” Cini told what he wanted.

"Don't you love Elia? That's a normal thing..."

“I know it's Vail, so what's your decision?” Cini also wants to hear Vail's decision.

“I also want to know what you will make of your decision…” Rii was also very curious.

" I--"

“Sorry to keep you waiting, please enjoy.” A waiter from the shop brought them food.

In the afternoon, towards the palace, Rii and Cini didn't know why Vail suddenly ran in the opposite direction.

The two of them ran after Vail and ended up on a small road. They saw a woman being beaten by several men.

“Stop it!” Rii was so loud and clear, and they were distracted.

"Go, this is none of your business." One of the seven people who hit the woman spoke annoyed.

"Embarrassed?" The person who pulled the woman's hair spoke without feeling guilty.

“Shut up!” The person holding the woman's hair slapped her to silence.

"You guys..." Rii was so annoyed, and so was Cini.

"Guilty is still guilty, you should leave before you regret it."

The person holding the woman's hair, assisted by four other men, was still beating the woman. Rii, Cini, and Vail's patience was at its limit.

The woman was already in Vail's hands surprisingly.

Cini and Rii stepped forward and beat without mercy the eight men, two of whom died from being beaten without stopping. Five people suffered fractures to both hands and feet.

Vail focuses on healing the woman's wounds with his powers.

Cini and Rii left one person who still hadn't been beaten, the person who pulled the woman's hair.

“Don't kill me, I understand…we were wrong.” The person was scared.

Cini returned to Vail and wanted to see whether the woman had recovered or not.

“Where are your previous words? Is it just words…” Rii said in a threatening voice.

“Where did your arrogance and intimidation go, HUH!?” Rii was so angry.

Rii used his power, and a ball of fire enveloped his hand. And Rii killed the person with his hands covered in fire.

The woman who was in Vail's hands woke up and saw Rii who was killing them.

"What happened? It should be…” The woman was shocked to see that the eight people who tortured her were still breathing and just lying on the ground.

“Ah…we didn't kill them, my friend Cini had set up an illusion circle. So what happens and is seen will be considered real, just think of it as hypnosis.” Rii told the woman.

"You guys didn't kill them?" The woman still didn't believe it.

"If we kill, we are still not mentally ready to accept reality..." Cini said.

"Wait!" The woman grabbed Vail's hand, because Vail was the only one walking behind Rii and Cini.
