Volume 3. Chapter 6 The Rage

The three of them were confused about the problem but turned angry and annoyed. When Etina told him that Reki was Ledrik's descendant.

"Who killed them?" Cini was so angry.

“That person is named Asino Enrie, a person who was summoned two hundred years ago. As well as the person who tried to kill Ino. Descendant of Lumina and Mansa.” Etina informed.

“You told me about this, what did you ask for as payment? Etina.” Vail knew there was another purpose behind Etina's kindness.

“I would like to ask you to kill the demon king Badou, along with the four of them,” Etina told them what she wanted.

The three of them asked Etina not to tell King Ligt, Lina, and Neii. Etina understood the meaning of Vail's words, and immediately disappeared, leaving them in the forest.

On the other hand, Badou asked his four subordinates. To enter the Starlight Academy.

"It's unusual for Master Badou to give us a mission like this." Kila was so surprised by the demon lord Badou's previous order.

"Maybe it has something to do with lord Badou, teaching us how to change the physical body," Paul told them his conclusion.

"That means it's been decided." Asino was so excited.

They changed their physical bodies into that of a teenager and headed for the kingdom of Gerna.

In the second week, the Gerna kingdom was busy with many boats and horse-drawn carriages transporting teenagers who wanted to enter Starlight Academy.

"I can't believe that the currency in this world has changed,"

"There's no need to bring it up again, didn't we already agree that we would live in the forest close to Mount Vorz?" Rii reprimanded Cini for complaining.

"Have you had any new problems in the village?" Vail was very curious, because Cini returned in a tired state.

"I became a bandit just because I wanted to see how money was used in this era," Cini said.

"Are you really—"

They heard a strange sound produced by a thin rope blowing in the wind. They immediately went downstairs and concluded that the trap they had set had caught a wild animal.

The three of them were shocked by a woman who was so thin, with her legs tied with rope.

“Are you bandits?!” The woman was so scared.

“We are not bandits,” Cini said.

"Let me let go-"

"No, just leave it to me." The woman refused the help given by Rii.

"Why are you in the forest?" Vail was very curious about the teenager's reasons.

"Vail..." Cini pointed at the woman.

Vail saw that the woman had whip marks all over her body.

“Let me help you.” Vail approached and untied the rope binding the woman's legs.

"So, why did you find yourself in such a dangerous forest?" Vail wants to know why.

"To find food," the woman said.

"This forest is very dangerous, especially since you are a woman." Cini reprimanded the woman.

“I've been coming here many times since I was twelve, until now.” The woman informed.

"Is your family gone?" Rii wanted to make sure.

“My father died five years ago, and my mother died seven months ago. My second father married my aunt.” The woman informed.

“You said you were looking for food, right?”

Vail took the woman to the place where the three of them lived. When she arrived at a place, the woman was surprised to see a house.

“Eat slowly.” Cini gave the woman grilled fish and soup.

"Can I eat all of this?" The woman wanted to make sure.

“We made it for you, so eat it the way you like it,” Rii informed.

"Thank you," The woman took the food served to her.

The three of them saw the woman's condition which was so heartbreaking.

"Are you still hungry?" Cini offered.

"My stomach can't take much more than this." The woman refused.

“Can we get your name?” Rii was curious about the woman's name.

"My name is Maya," Maya tells her name.

“Then, Maya. Drink this, so that the scars on your hands will disappear." Vail gave her water that had been infused with a healing potion.

“….” Maya drank the water given by Vail.

Maya remained there until she lost track of time, she was so happy. Because she got a friend, to talk to for the first time besides the demon king Lina.

Cini was happy to take Maya back, even if only as far as the city gates.

"Thank you for delivering." Maya is so happy.

“You're welcome, please don't tell anyone about this, okay?” Cini asks Maya to silent.

"I will, if that's the case until—"

"Take this for you." Cini took out an earring from a small circle which was very mysterious in Maya's eyes.

"Earring? But for what." Maya was so confused.

"The next time you are in the forest, the earrings will protect you from wild animals," Cini tells the function of the earrings.

“…You are doing this even though we have just met, thank you.” Maya accepts the earrings and uses them.

“Okay, it's time to go home. See you…Maya.” Cini immediately used teleportation to return to the forest.

“….” Maya was very curious, about who, how, and why the three of them came to be in the forest.

As she was about to enter the city, Maya heard the voice of the demon king Lina from the opposite direction. And for the umpteenth time, Lina asked Maya to come up.

“Glad to see you are well, demon king Lina.” Maya greets the demon king Lina.

“Thank you, especially. Who was the person you were with before? I saw the two of you in front of the city entrance, but when I wanted to look more clearly… the person had disappeared.” Lina was very curious about the person who was with Maya before.

"They just asked me to hide my strength, I also don't feel comfortable saying I don't know and rejecting the words of the demon king Lina who helped me last year," Maya said that sentence in her mind, she was so confused.

“The story of three lost adventurers?” Maya asked to confirm the book in question.

“That's right, in the book. I wrote the stories of Vail, Rii, and Cini and the people who were involved with them." Lina informed.

"...." Maya was so surprised to hear the names of the three people who had helped her.

“Demon king Lina….” Maya stopped speaking.

The horse-drawn carriage they were riding in stopped their journey, realizing that they had arrived in front of the residence. Maya immediately got up from her seat and went downstairs.

"Thank you again demon king Lina, you have given me a ride—"

“Maya.” A woman dressed like royalty came to Maya.

“Demon king Lina, thank you for your help in finding my child.” The woman bowed her head to thank the demon king Lina.

“Ah…you're welcome, Miss Sonita. Then Maya, if you change your mind. Just say it or come to the castle…see you, Miss Sonita, Maya.”

“….” Sonita and Maya saw that the horse-drawn carriage carrying the demon king Lina, was walking away from her residence.

When the horse-drawn carriage was out of sight, Sonita immediately dragged Maya into the house. Sonita scolded her adopted daughter, making Maya cry.

The situation got worse when his father came home. And realize the same actions as before.

Entering nighttime, Cini stood up from the chair.

"I heard the woman's voice asking for help," Cini said.

"Is this what he meant?" Rii was so curious. With Maya's previous words.

"We'd better go straight to her," Vail suggests going straight to where Maya is.

The three of them agreed and immediately flew to Maya's residence.

"Get up! Don't think that your father and mother are satisfied." The man exclaimed, slapping Maya so hard.

"Don't hit me again, I'll die if I keep going like this." Maya's voice was small and soft but could still be heard.

Her mother and father abused Maya even further. The sound of Maya's screams filled the warehouse room.

"Older brother…"

Right after Maya said that three men came down and hit the roof of the warehouse. And shocked Sonita and the man who became her husband.

“We hear you, Maya.”

“….” Vail saw Maya in a resigned state with her feet and hands tied tightly.

"How dare you do this to Clara's descendants." Rii was so angry.

"Who— " The man stopped speaking and his eyes widened. Because Cini was suddenly in front of his eyes, strangling his neck.

“Ferrin! —”

“…eh?” Sonita was shocked to see that two of her hands had been cut without realizing it.

" Aaa !-"

“It's so noisy, it's still not much.” Rii strangled Sonita so hard.

Vail walked over and approached Maya, removing all ties and trying to heal Maya.

“STOP IT!” cried the demon king Lina, who came crashing through and destroying the roof.

"You will— " Lina fell silent when she found out the owner of the energy source. She also saw Vail healing Maya.

Rii and Cini threw the person they were holding onto Lina to admit their mistake.

“Sonita, Ferin? What are you doing-"

“We have no business with people abdicating their responsibilities.” Vail interrupted Lina's words. Vail said irritably.

“….” Lina couldn't do anything after listening to Vail's words.

"Please don't hurt them..." Maya asked, Cini, Rii. To not hurt her parents.

“Demon king Lina, take my parents away.”

“….” Lina could only hold one of her hands in silence with guilt. She heard Maya's voice which was so weak and weak.

"Do you three want to make Clara see this?" Lina said this while looking at Vail.

"Clara is gone, and don't bring it up." Rii was so annoyed.
