Meanwhile at the Chow Pow, Sheriff McKnight wraps up his investigation along with his task force.

“Sir, we couldn’t find any trace of bullets, knifes, or any type of weapon that could have caused this. “A young blasian wrong with long braids tied back told him.

Whatever this was, officer stone, it wasn’t done with crude weapons. The witnesses said it had something involving bees.”

“Don’t be absurd, Sheriff.” A third voice intervened.

“Mayer DuBios I have this area closed off.

“My son was in the middle of whatever catastrophe happened in this restaurant. Not to mention how horrible this would before business,”

“Sir, your son is safe with his grandmother. We have officers regularly patrolling his house, “ Felicia said.

“And who are you?”

“Officer Felicia stone, sir.”

“Well, Miss. Stone, I believe the big boys should talk about who’s patrolling what but it you’d like to help, I have a suit that needs to be picked up by the dry cleaners.

“Officer Stone stays here.” The sheriff said.

“So be it.” Mayor DuBios smirked. “I’m sure you’re the proper “man” for the Job.”

The Mayor walked away from the crime scene being started at by the sheriffs scowl.

“Who the hell voted for him?” The sheriff uttered.” Felicia, I’m sorry for ...”

“ Sheriff. Don’t worry about it. It’s fine”

“No its not, No one who wears this badge should ever be treated as a second class citizen.”

“Sir, I’m a biracial woman in America. Even with my badge, I’m always treated like a third class citizen.”

Felicia bit her lip and looked away from her boss, fighting the tears spilling from her eyes.

“If you ever need to talk about it.”

“I’m fine, Sir. I think  we should just focus on the case,”

“Sheriff McKnight.”

A Caucasian man with blond hair and wearing a New Orleans police department jacket runs to the jacket electric and office stone.

“What is?” officer Crcoker.” “I think we found something we found something you, should look at.”

“Lead the way” the sheriff and officer stone follow officer Crocker to the crime scene.

“We found this when clearing the area.”

The officer pulled out a lighter and began to ignite it.

“You brought me here just to watch you kill your lungs?”

“No, Sir. One of the forensic analysts dropped his ciggerate that was barely lit and then, this happened officer cracker tossed his lighter at the ground five forks from him. The flames touched the ground. Charging hue from orange to violet and filling the silloute of a bugged insect.

“That looks like a bee” officerstone said.

“Not a bee. A hornet.” said the sheriff.

The sheriff walked away, pulling out his phone as he pulled out a bottle out his phone as he pulled out a bottle of pills with his other head.

He poured three pills in his mouth and swallowed them as he felt his heart thumb rapidly.

“Sir, are you okay?” officer stone asked.

“I’m finding, just have to call my nephew.”

“Sir, your blood pressure might be sky rocketing by now if don’t take you’re….”

“I’m taking the damn pills” the sheriff yelled, capturing the attention of his soberdonites.

“An uneasy silence passed as Chris felt the beating in his chest smolder.

“I apologize.” He said pressing his palm on his chest and leaning on a cop car. “Everyone, go home. We’ll pick this up in the morning.”

“Sir, are you…”

“That’s an order, officer.”

“Yes, sir.”

The officers all went to their vehicles ready to leave as Chris’s phone rang.

“Hello?”

“Uncle Chris. I wide as he heard the troubling news.

“I hope you know who has that watch.”

“I do.” Sam paused before taking a gulp.” I have to go to Amherst asylum.”

The next day, Chris picked up Sam from Shirley’s house to drive to the asylum much too both their discomfort.

“You can just drop me off, uncle Chris.” Sam offered. “I can handle myself just call you when I’m done.”

“There is no way in hell I am letting you visit, her by yourself.” Chris responded with a stern voice.

‘She’s not like that anymore. I’m sure I can…”

“You heard what I said.”

“Yes, sir”.

The two drove ten miles outside of New Orleans until they reached Amherst Asylum.

Chris parked the car to the side of the building before placing his cellphone in the glove department.

“You know the rules.” He turned to his nephew.

“Yeah.”

Sam put his phone in the glove department and then climbed out of his uncle’s car.

“By the way Uncle Chris, the Prius is nice but I think the Altama is more stylish.

“When you pay the bills, you can buy whatever kind of car you want after you turn eighteen.”

“My bad. Just trying to lighten the mood.”

The two walked up the stairs of the building and pressed the intercom outside the door.

“Please state your purpose” the voice from the intercom. “I’m here to visit a patient.” “Visitation is only reserved for authorized personal.”

“You’re speaking to sheriff McKnight.

I’m pretty sure I qualify.”

A brief period of silence rings until the employee responds.

“One moment please, Sheriff.”

The door unlocked and Chris pushed it open.

Sam and Chris aloud in the ward. Many of our patients are dangerous to themselves and others.”

“The boy stays.” Chris said.

“Of course, Sheriff.” Ramon said. Right this way.”

He stood up and lead Chris and Sam. We prefer to identify ourselves as a mental institution that betters the community.” Save me the Oscar tryouts.” Sam Chimed in “We want to see late you sting.”

“Sheriff, I’m afraid that minors are not down the hall.

They reached the end of the hall and stopped to climb the stairs to the second floor.

“I hope you realize that this isn’t a good idea.” Ramon said.

“I’d appreciate it if you would just take us to the room.” Chris responded.

“Sure thing, Sheriff.”

Ramon opens the door to the second floor and pauses in front of the second door on the left side.

“LaToya,” Ramon knocked on the door. “You have visitors today.”

“Be prepared, Son.” Chris said.

Sam took a deep breath and breathed out as Ramon unlocked the door and pushed it in.

The three of them walked in and saw a dark skinned woman with white dread locks and wearing a patient’s uniform.

The woman rocks in her rocking chair, unhinged by the three males.

Sam walked cautiously to her with fear fluttering in his chest. He stood three inches from the woman and knocked toward her as she continued to stare into nothingness.

“Hey mom.”
