Chapter: *The* *Fiery* *World*
A bright flame lit up in a pitch black environment, bringing white light in it's surroundings. Numerous more flames started to burn more and more vigorously until they eventually formed an arched door.A masked figure stepped out from the arched door, his body immediately shrouded by a layer of dense black fog"Disperse!" Following the voice coming from the figure, the rays of light and undulations immediately faded until they completely disappeared."Secret technique: Shadow stealth!"The figure seemed to be at unease. A rune representing concealment and hiding suddenly flashed within the fog.Soon after, the entire cloud of fog shook and turned completely transparent, blending in with the surroundings.Under the cover of the fog, the entire silhouette seemed to have penetrated through and into the shadows in the cracks, making it's way through a pitch-black hallway.Four figures illuminated by a sphere of light made their way through the pitch-black hallway, oblivious to the new intruder spying on them.# CLLLIIIICCKK!!A metallic groove was pressed down slightly by Greenwood's palm, strange and faint streams of light rushed from his palm into the groove, causing it to become dazzling.A picture hanging at the opposite side of the hall was suddenly bathed in white light, the outline of a door appeared around it, the light grew in intensity till it swallowed the picture and vanished abruptly, revealing an unexpected scene at the other side.Countless fiery streaks of light whistled at the other side, covering everything in a layer of red. The smearing heat buffeted their faces."Eh? Another dimension!" Sharon shrieked."It's a pocket dimension, the president has been hiding in here since the backlash of his cultivation base, so his numerous enemies won't be able to find him but unfortunately for him, I have strong Intel's around him. Let's go!" Greenwood's eyes narrowed and flashed with a malicious intent. All four of them turned into piercing streaks of light, vanishing into the pocket dimension/ space. The masked silhouette chuckled gleefully and flicked his sleeves, a red imprint appeared and it carved in some words into it then the words flickered with light and vanished, seemingly reaching it's destination. This imprint was a medium of communication, due to the complex and complicated magical runes, it performs similar work as a cellphone. The silhouette also streaked into the pocket dimension. Immediately after it went in, several metallic puppets appeared and stood on guard at the entrance, their bodies completely invisible to the eyes.A fiery world covered in layers upon layers of fire energy particles, the air itself distorted due to the overwhelming heat, towering fountains of red hot lava shot up into the air, causing even space to tremble in it's temperature, dying the skies in crimson red. The dense particles of fire energy suppressed all other energy particles to almost negligible amount."Woowwwww, this place is truly a fiery world" Roy started trembling. As a ghostly figure, the highly concentrated fire particles was bad news, his complete state has an extreme weakness for fire, he couldn't really stand it. If not for the fact, that he was a silver ranker, the immense heat and dense opposing particles would have crushed him to death. But even as a silver ranker, his cultivation base had plummeted due to the heat and he was now the most vulnerable but of course, he wouldn't show it and pretended as mightily as before.Greenwood's eyes swept through the environment, he extended his domain but it was limited and suppressed due to the fire particles. Any other energy particles was firmly suppressed here, making it harder to attack or even meditate here."Last I remembered, any different dimension has a world's will of it's own, effectively going against intruders and considering the fact, that the president has chosen here to hide, it can only mean, he has found a way to control the world's will here, and even though, he has suffered an injury to his cultivation base, he could use the world's will here to suppress us firmly when we attack" Parker spoke out loud, rubbing his chin and looking at Greenwood."That's right!" Sharon nodded in approval and looked at Greenwood.Even Roy looked at Greenwood tactfully. They need to know they have the upper hand in this fight, because even the slightest unknown power the president has can completely eradicate them, afterall, someone at the gold rank is no joke."I have made preparations of that" Greenwood smirked, blood lust overflowing from his body.Greenwood raised his hand and grasped the open space, it would seem as if a veil in space is being torn apart.#RIIIPPPPPP.A dazzling scepter appeared into existence, the moment, it showed itself, all the fire particles strangely moved away from it, the mysterious aura it radiated was indeed otherworldly."This is the obsidian scepter! I burrowed it from a friend for specifically this purpose" Greenwood stretched his hand and grasped the scepter.Immediately, it radiated a light that deterred even the fire particles and the mysterious world's will couldn't stand a chance at it."The obsidian scepter? I have heard of that. Wasn't that the personal treasure of the Creed's island chief?" Parker sucked in a hot breath, staring at the scepter with dreadful eyes. The obsidian scepter was rumoured to be a high-grade magical equipment and something of that measure will even make other silver ranker jealous and eyes full of greed. But of course, none of them would dare steal it from Greenwood yet and this is because the scepter would have already bounded with it's master which is the Creed's island chief and undoing the bond forcefully would require the strength of a gold ranker or an extreme peak Silver ranker. The shadowy silhouette looked at the scepter, it's eyes full of greed."Now, with this, the world's will wouldn't be a problem. Let's go. I have the coordinates of the president. Now, that man is like a fish in the chopping block, just waiting to die" Greenwood flashed into the skies.Followed by the others and the unknown silhouette, they flew at terrifying speeds, tearing through the air like hot knives in butter.Greenwood's figure suddenly stopped and hovered in front of a strange mountain range or rather lava range.Molten rocks and solidified rocks stacking up to form mountains littered the surroundings. But a strange transparent forcefield formed at the entrance to the lava range, sparks of electricity coursed through it from time to time."Alright, Gentlemen and woman, this is the place, the president last hope of defense is this forcefield, forcefully passing through the forcefield would send you straight into an illusionary maze and it was erected when he was still a gold ranker, so even I can't say I can break it, the least we could do is to be cautious. The maze isn't so complicated and riddled with flaws since formations isn't really the president's area of expertise, find some flaws and advance through the maze. The president should be at the centre of the maze. I will be leaving first" Greenwood spoke hurriedly as if he was already too excited in killing the president and didn't want to waste more time.Greenwood's figure pierced through the forcefield and disappeared, it was as if he never existed in the first place, the lava range didn't even register his existence, it still appeared the same. But this proved, Greenwood was necessarily lying and it was a big network of illusion at play here.Chapter: *The* *Maze*Parker rubbed his chin thoughtfully and immediately shot through the gigantic forcefield, causing a slight ripple to spread from his point of entry outwards in a concentric circle. The moment, he entered, his vision swarmed and he appeared at a field comparable to the size of a football field. The horizon was dark red and blinding brownish rays in the distance emanated from a large red sun, setting at the point, the skies meet the lands. Parker raised his head and stood in shock. A gigantic star system hung above him, it looked like the picturesque view of the universe was painted in the skies. It seemed as if the skies was split in half, the large red sun occupied a region and this starry universe-like painting occupied the other. Rings of dazzling starlight studded the outermost layers of the star system, it was in constant motion. Within the stars were neutron stars, dwarf stars and even an occasional gleam of a terrifying black vortexes devouring
Chapter: *Meeting* *The* *President* The figure seating on the throne’s piercing gaze landed on Parker. A strange stream of energy shook his mind and his eyes felt like it had exploded into thousands of pieces and the wracking pain was so intense, his body was drenched with sweat. The pendant on the necklace gave out a soft glow, immediately dissolving the pain and stabilized his mind. Parker coughed out a mouthful of blood and didn’t dare meet the eyes of the president’s figure. Greenwood snorted and hefted the obsidian scepter. He didn’t also dare look into the eyes of the president, but he was physically ready. “I thought you said he wouldn’t attack,” Parker groaned in rage. Greenwood’s expression twisted in fear. “He isn’t supposed to. His strength should barely just be in the half-step gold realm. I don’t know why he isn’t taking a passive stance in this confrontation.” Greenwood’s voice was lanced in a bit of fear. The figure on the throne chuckled and stood up, a green r
Chapter: *An* *Escape* *Plan*The black robed, dark figure radiated a bloodthirsty and ruthless aura, he beamed a smile at the group. For a moment there, it caused their mind to grow tranquil and see this youth in a good first impression. However, Greenwood was shaking, his pupils constricted into a tiny dot and his mouth hang open."Special adviser?!" Greenwood managed to blurt out those words. The rest expression darkened, sweat drenching their backs.'isn't this the special adviser, Greenwood relied on for Intel? We were being set up!'Parker held the pendant of the necklace in his palm, it's warm glow giving him a slight reassurance, that he should be able to escape. "Greenwood, pleasing to see you here" The youthful figure smirked, a red light flashes from his eyes. "It's not pleasing to see you here. What's going on, old friend?" Greenwood couldn't simply believe the man had most likely betrayed him, so he still had a sliver of hope,
Chapter: *Half-step* *Gold* *Ranker*The hand stretched out and grasped space, the stacked domains sounded akin to a fragile glass falling on a hard ground. The starry universe's stars exploded one after the other, even the nebulae couldn't withstand the force, it crumbled and exploded. The gigantic ephemeral snake that looked so realistic, it felt like it actually real, however, it was shrieking, multiple wound marks started surfacing on it's scales. The hand that resembled the heavens pressure caused the snake's wound marks to grow larger and more frightening till it's body started collapsing and it exploded. Sharon staggered backwards, coughing up blood with every step taken, her face was as white as a sheet of paper, her aura grew increasingly weaker, her golden body dimmed. It was evident, she had taken a serious injury in her cultivation. The seas of bones seemingly wailed and screamed in terror, the mountain of bones shuddered tremendou
Chapter: *Severely* *Damaged*Countless streams of light converged into a gigantic pathway in the skies, the residents of a town raised their heads into the skies. This blinding light was almost rivaling the intense sunlight in the skies and it was very eye-catching. Suddenly, the pathway shuddered tremendously and exploded into motes of light, dissipating in the air. Three strange figures fell from the explosion, smoke rising from their bodies, forming a trail as they fell.# THUDD!They crashed into a building, kicking up thick smokes of dust and wreckage. The residents of the building screamed in alarm and people gathered around immediately. Suddenly, they all gave way to a black robed, old man looking like he was in his sixties, his back was hunched but the powerful undulations of a yellow ranker could be felt on him, his white eyebrows were very droopy and his eyelids had almost covered his eyes as if he was asleep. The man placed his hand behind his back and walke
Chapter: *Gathering*In a vast space, towering trees and scattered rocks covered this plain, breaking the resplendent rays of the sunlight. A gigantic metallic grey mansion stood on the precipice of a mountain, thick miasmic fog of clouds enshrouded it's surroundings, multiple colors of light flickered on it's color, giving it a mysterious look. If one looked at it from afar, it looked like it was floating in the air. It exuded a terrifying presence, even a silver ranker wouldn't dare approach this mansion casually, it looked akin to an ancient primordial beast, infact, anyone below gold-ranker couldn't come 15 metres close to the mansion, an invisible pressure would push the person out. What was even more shocking was the horrifying fluctuations of multiple gold-rankers coming from the insides. In an extremely decorated room, multiple jade crystals were imbedded in the walls, sending out it's colored light spilling across the room. Seven figures sat down around a long tabl
Chapter: *Hidden* *Agenda*Royal prince Seyi stroked his chin thoughtfully."The Royal capitol will help you investigate and quell some of your troubles, this is you having our backing openly but the only catch is, we get 10% more resources shipped into our kingdom" Seyi gazed at the President with a smile. The President's facial muscles twitched uncontrollably, as if he's about to burst but he managed to suppress it and took a deep breath. 'Hmph. You bunch of scoundrels, exploiting me in my moment of weakness, if not because of Sapa Nation is significantly divided, your royal capitol wouldn't even be qualified to have a trade deal with us'.The president gritted his teeth. "Deal!" The President managed to say. Royal Prince Seyi naturally knew what he was thinking but he merely smiled. Afterall, they were all adept schemers and taking advantage of another is the most appropriate thing to do in this situation, it's a dog eat dog world. Only the strongest gets to make a decis
Chapter: *Syrie*"Terrorist? Give me full details, Ignox" A slight crease furrowed the head doctor's brows, he reclined on his chair, a spark of light seemingly igniting in his eyes. "Ahem! The three mysterious people in your hospital sir are named Sharon Madison, Parker Lasso and Roy Kent. They allegedly attacked the President in his secret meditation chamber with the infamous Greenwood but thankfully, the president prevailed and captured Greenwood. Alas, the other three escaped and are now seen in this territory, heavily injured. There's no mistaking it, sir. The president has issued a bounty on their heads" Ignox quickly explained in detail, his expression respectful and indifferent. Ignox held not just respect for this man but more apparent is fear, terrifying and bone-deep fear rooted in him. There was no doubt, Ignox knew the monstrous background this man came from. He had simply came to this town to gain worldly experience and not even the village head knew of his backgrou
