“If I was called a savvy entrepreneur for my success,” Parul expressed his viewpoint, “he can no doubt be called a savvy son-in-law for successfully winning the heart of his wife from a hopeless situation. Of course, it would be nice if he can also win the hearts of his in-laws, but it’s the same as asking my business competitors to like me because of my success. No matter what you do, such things are not entirely in our hands.”

“A savvy son-in-law, you say?” Kismet’s voice turned a bit retarded. “Who? He?” she scoffed. “The only thing he’s got going for him is his looks.”

“Pardon her, sir,” Samuel immediately interfered and apologized to Parul. “She doesn’t know what she’s talking about.”

Kismet didn’t like that her husband didn’t back him; she spared him a quick cold glare and walked away.

Samuel forced out a smile at Parul before excusing himself and following his wife. After going some distance, he said, “I didn’t want to make you look bad, dear. You know who he is, right?”
