CHAPTER 293

Most of the underground facility got flooded by water, and all the captives in the cells died, whereas those who locked themselves in their rooms were still alive for the time being. The vampires, however, were able to swim through the flooded zones even though they lacked oxygen. Their bodily functions slowed down as a result, but they were still able to stay conscious. And they were all rushing to help Butcher fight against Shadow.

Shadow had got hold of two swords, but he was struggling as they surrounded him and didn’t let him leave.

Shadow wanted to escape the facility and breathe some air, but they sacrificed themselves to keep Shadow on his heels as much as they could. It was obvious to Shadow that these vampires were being forced to fight against their will. Such was the control Butcher had on them. He probably was the one who had turned them all, he thought.

Butcher only watched from the side as his underlings kept pouring in from every direction and attacked Shadow.
