The moment Rye and others entered the house, they were quite surprised to see three 14-year-old girls with a mask covering their mouths standing a few feet apart from one another and were blankly staring at them. To add to that, creepy music was playing in the background. It was like a scene straight from a horror movie.

They were only allowed to remove the masks and speak when their masters, the vampires, allowed them to. This was somewhat similar to how slaves used to be treated in ancient times.

“Sit down on the couch and feast on the dumplings,” Olivia told them in a happy tone. “I’ll be right back.” She hurriedly went upstairs, humming to herself.
