After the little exchange she had with Rebecca, Uzza was returning to her room with a cheeky smile on her face.

She heard someone hiss at her. She eventually reached the source of the sound, who was none other than Dorothy.

“Are you the great Uzza that everyone was talking about?” Dorothy found it a bit hard to be polite with her.

“Are you the one that’s struggling with cancer?” Uzza asked back, making the old woman frown visibly.

“I-It’s not that I lived an unhealthy lifestyle,” Dorothy tried to explain and justify herself.

“Oh, no, you did,” Uzza cut her short. “Just exercise, walking in the sun, and eating alkaline foods will keep you from getting cancer. You must have eaten a lot of junk food or processed food over the years. You are lucky that you survived for so long.”

“My husband and I traveled a lot for the past ten or so years,” Dorothy said. “We didn’t have the luxury to eat home-made food.”

“Oh, where’s your husband now?”

“He died recently,” Dorothy’s mouth turned down.
