Hours passed, but the storm was still very much there.

Kathy already cried enough, and she didn’t have anymore tears left to shed after seeing the damage the winds did to her plants. Leaves and branches were everywhere. All the banana trees had collapsed. The beautiful garden now looked ugly and messy.

Amber tried to comfort her cousin, but Kathy didn’t stop cursing the weather. She even blamed Akash for not doing anything.

“What can he do when the storm is so rough and strong?” Amber reasoned with her.

“So many bananas were wasted, Amber,” Kathy cried out. “Had he fixed supports for them properly, they would have withstood the storm.”

“I don’t think so. The banana plants are delicate, Kathy. Don’t you think you’re blaming Akash because you don’t have anyone else to blame?”

“Shut up, Amber. If you spent hours of time every day on those plants, you’d be scolding him right now, too! Even more than I do.”
