CHAPTER 604

Benjamin came down from the stage and was walking toward Rebecca.

A waiter came up to him and offered him a wine glass. Benjamin was about to pick one, but he stopped and walked past the waiter.

“It’s a very tasty wine, sir,” the waiter persuaded him to drink. “Please try it once.”

“No,” Benjamin didn’t change his mind.

After he took a couple of steps, something came flying at him fast. Benjamin could have dodged it, but with that speed, it could easily hurt someone badly, so he caught it with his hand.

He opened his hand, and it was a toothpick.

“Who threw this thing?” He looked around but did not find anyone particularly suspicious.

He flicked the toothpick away and went to Rebecca who was still eating.

“Did you like my song?” he asked her with a bit of expectation.

“Hmph, you call that a song? It was more like a rhyming poem,” she snorted.

“Their souls are still the same, aren't they?” Benjamin said. “Madam Rebecca? Just like how our souls are the same…”
