CHAPTER 749

Jim brought a plate full of appetizers that had meat balls of chicken, fish, prawns, and lamb.

The light color of the meat suggested that no food colors were added, other than the spices. And the meat wasn’t roasted so that its juices would remain inside.

“Thanks,” Rebecca told Jim as she wasn’t expecting him to bring starters first.

Jim smiled at her but then glanced at Benjamin once. “What can I bring for you?” he asked reluctantly.

Benjamin just wanted JIm to leave them alone, but of course, he couldn’t say that out loud. “Can you bring me lion meat, or wolf meat?” he asked.

“Uh, we don’t serve that kind of meat here,” Jim said. “Besides, it’s illegal to-”

“I’m just joking, dude,” Benjamin said. “Just this glass of water is enough for me.”

Jim then went into the kitchen even though he didn’t want to leave these two alone.

Rebecca slightly pushed the plate toward Benjamin and said, “I don’t eat too much meat. A little bit is fine, but if I eat more, it makes me want to vomit.”
