“So this is the cave you talk about Glasha.”

“Yes, I haven’t had the chance to check inside given that I wasn’t allowed to go inside on my own at the time, I was with my father and brother.”

“Well, it looks like we have the chance now to check it out, don't you think?”

“I think it would be a bad idea to do this because there is nothing good for us going into this cave alone.”

Ethons and Glasha just ignored the elf girl heading straight forward to the cave where she had to follow behind quickly.

Soon all 3 of them entered the dark cave, luckily there was still light outside to shine at the beginning of the entrance of the cave. The rest inside was completely dark for any of them to be able to see further.

That means they got to come up with the idea of bringing light to cast away the darkness for them. Ethons then came up with the idea to build a fire and still remembers how to do so from his old life.

Explain it to Glasha and Naruth the two help where they both went out together wood leaving him to set up a small circle using some rocks in the cave laying around.

In time it was done just as the girls came back with a good amount of wood to place inside the circle. When all of it was placed where needed Ethons used two rocks that haven’t been among the others.

Smashing the two against each other creating sparks that were flying near the woods began to cause smoke then came to the fire as it rose to devour the wood.

Good thing Ethons made sure to tell the girls to bring wood that was long for them to grab ahold of.

“Alright good this should do it,” he said right as the other two received their sticks with the top on fire as it was going to be a torch to use.

“Ethons is smart to come up with this,” Glasha said swinging the stick back and forth for fun.

“Would you cut it out, you're going to hit someone with that.”

“What are you afraid of fire?”

“Not if you keep on doing that with your torch.”

Glasha then comes up with the evil idea which was to mess with Naruth this way, but that doesn't happen when Ethons get in the way of talking to the both of them.

“Come let go, there might be something inside this cave worth discovering.”

He says to them going forward further inside ahead of them as the two soon go after him.

It took about a few minutes of walking for them to see nothing of interest in this cave, but there was this feeling of one or many watching as they moved.

“Ethons I think it best we get out of here.”

“Stop being such a coward,” Glasha tells Naruth even with she feels a little scar too

Ethons was starting to understand what Naruth meant as he was about to agree and end their time in this cave.

“Yeah, maybe we should….”

“Hey, look over there.” Glasha pointed out a pile of bones laying on the ground.

Ethons took it upon himself to check it out while the girls hang back as he does that.

“Alright looking at these bones they're not quite that big, more like their small could be from animals.”

As he was thinking this and finding more of these bones, whatever was watching them decided to no longer hide in whatever part of the shadows attacking and starting with him first.

“Lookout,” Naruth yelled right as he turned to see what came out.

It was too late for him to do anything at the time, getting grabbed and pin down to the ground.

When that happened Ethons got the chance to look at what just jump him and what it was is something green like Glasha, but different being that this thing had a smaller body just like the other parts, ears were a little longer,

“What the hell is this thing.” he cries out while trying to keep this thing from biting into him or its long nails from having the chance of cutting.

“Get off him! Goblin.” Glasha said right as she smacked the thing with her torch in the face.

That causes the goblin to cry in pain as its face does receive some burns into its face yet is still alive, but the goblin takes a few steps back looking at Glasha with hate for what she did.

At the time more of these things started to make themselves seen and there were many in numbers. Ethons quickly get back up to stand close by the girls as now all three of them stick together.

“What are goblins as you called them? Glasha”

“You don’t know about them, Ethons they are nasty creatures that like to attack in great numbers on anything that crosses their path and they don’t fight fair. Orcs don’t like them a lot given how annoying these things can be to deal with.”

“Elves pretty much are the same toward them too,” Naruth says.

Listening to these Ethons check out the goblins around them noticing that some hold weapons which were a wooden club, or spare. Not looking good for the three being outnumbered and trapped, the only thing that kept the goblins from attacking all at once was their torch.

Yet that isn’t going to be like that for long and the Goblins knew smiling and laughing a plan for a way out is needed at this series moment. Ethons does his best to think of something, sadly nothing comes to him where hope starts to fall on him.

A shocking thing does come to happen: a loud fearful sound of a roar causes everything to shake along with bringing about everyone to stand frozen in place.

“What was that?” Ethons though unable to say those words at the time.

After that came a light deeper inside the cave, one that was getting brighter and brighter which looked to be coming straight directly their way. Ethons saw it coming out of fear for himself and the other was all it took to get his body moving again in time before this light hit them.

So he grabbed the girls, pushing them down to the ground completely while the goblins became the only ones to get hit with this light that burns their small bodies to ashes.

When a few good seconds passed they thought it was best to now stand back up and get the smell of burnt flesh and ash in the air. Whatever did this was far more dangerous than just these weak goblins as that was clear and no one there doubt it was better to get out of this cave more than ever.

They were about to run out of this cave, but the very thing that killed the goblins began to move toward their way and the step it was taking made it hard for each to use their legs.

“What else could be in this cave!.” Ethons yelled.

“I don’t know, but it's not good.” Glasha resounded to him while keeping a brave face.

“Is this where we are going to die?” Naruth says in fear and holding onto Ethons.

Soon they came to face the creature with a muscular, elongated body with a long, thick tail and neck. Its gemlike scales are the color of valuable emeralds. This thing has long, muscular limbs with four splayed digits on each foot that end in long, sharp claws. It has small, frill-like wings running from its shoulders to the middle of its tail. A semi-transparent, membranous crest runs from its shoulders to the tip of its tail. There is also a small mouth with a pronounced overbite and irregularly shaped teeth. It has large nostrils. The narrow eyes are orange. Its chin is very pointed. Bony knobs surround its nostrils.

“Now there are elves and Orcs in my home, am I to deal with their kind as well.”

It spoke to them but did not move its mouth instead the words sounded in their heads telepathy.

“Speak tell me why you are here uninvited in my home, better be worth me not burn you 3 as well like these annoying Goblins that keep trying to find their way in.”

“We… I was just exploring this cave and thought it would be fun to see what could be inside.”

Ethons thought it best to be the one talking with this creature since the girls were too afraid to open their mouths.

“How foolish are you to be thinking a great idea to come inside this cave alone or with no weapons. You were close to death because of this action with the goblins.”

“Wait a minute you were about to kill us too like those things.”

“Well, I never thought elves or an Orc would come into this cave since mine don’t both your kind tell you, little children.”

Only Ethons and Glasha look to be confused at the time, but Naruth on the other hand ran up to the front bowing her little head down at the big creature.

“Forgive us! I didn't know this is the cave the dragon lived in that my mother told me about.”

“Wait Naruth you knew.”

“And you didn’t think to tell us.”

“I knew about the dragon living in these parts of the forest, but not which cave the dragon could be in.”

Naruth explains to the two in an angry tone at the moment like they should know this.

“Now that you have found out this way all of you can get out.”

The dragon tells them it starts to turn its body around to go back deeper into the cave to be left alone like always.

“Hold on can’t we come to visit you from time to time, I would like to hang out with a dragon since this is my first time meeting one now.”

“Ethons what are doing.”

“Elf boy, how brave of you to think you have the right to ask me that death is something you wish.”

“No, but, I know you're not going to kill me.”

The dragon came back to face the three again this time focusing only this time on Ethons the elf boy.

“What gives you the idea that I won’t kill you.”

“Well, it's just a feeling like that, not something a dragon-like you would love to do.”

Hearing that out of the elf boy's mouth work to make this dragon laugh causing the cave to shake.

“A feeling he says to the boy is funny that you have no clue to my history and the things I have done before settling here.”

“Then I would like to learn if you give me the permission to visit your home.”

“I don’t know why, but you are an unusual elf child not like those other elves that would respect and be fearful to leave me alone. Yet you're not and instead want to know me very well elf you have my permission, but not today go home for another time.”

“Cool thanks…. Oh, I don’t know your name or you know mine.”

Ethons bring up a good point since it would be nicer to each other's name than just calling themselves by what they look like.”

“My name is Mordos.”

“And my name is Ethons.”

Tell each other names the two smile at each other before it is finished as the dragon saw that there was no longer a point to hang around going back to its place in the cave.

Ethons turns to the girls where one looks at him with great respect and the other looks as if he was a big idiot to have done that.

“Ethons is greatly brave like an Orc male!.” Glasha yells as someone who was starting to like the elf boy even more.

“I can not believe you were able to do that, you could have gotten us killed.” Naruth on the other hand not so much.

Ethons laugh, getting different reactions from the two girls when soon all of them start to exit the cave.

“Such an interesting elf boy might be nice to finally speak with someone again after all these years.”

The same can be said for the dragon given that a creature such as this has the high value of healing of its own. This makes Dragons difficult to slay, more so to wound one greatly as that can not be done without a legendary weapon or a very powerful spell that matters. “There that has been taken care of now guess we can resume back into the fight don’t you agree.” A roar was given as the answer for him to hear
