Chapter eighteen

Melissa drove straight to her father's house that night after she had stormed out of the shopping mall. She was angry and totally irked at the scene that just played out before her.

To think that a useless peasant in the form of a nobody like Micheal could suddenly grow wings all because of his upcoming marriage to a rich man's daughter. She was going to do all she could to make him pay, together with his fiancee.

" Good evening Melissa" Mrs Kingston, her mother greeted her daughter.

" I trust you have news to share?" Her brother muttered. " Seeing as you have made frequenting our house your hobby. What about your husband?"

Melissa threw him a cold glare before taking her seat on the couch beside her mother.

" Last I remember, this place was also my house." She grumbled to Modrich whom she clearly wasn't in the mood to have a banter with.

" So, I can walk in whenever I like."
