Chapter seventy eight

Alegria sat by old Albert Imperial's bedside in the hospital that morning. She had visited as usual to watch over her grandfather inlaw who was yet to regain consciousness.

He still laid on his bed, his eyes shut and his hands unmoving. The only thing that could be noticed of him was the heaving of his chest which signaled that he was still alive and his soul was in his body. The only thing was that his physical body was still asleep.

The beep beep sound of the machine reverberated around the room and the thick smell of antiseptic still rented the air.

"I'll take my leave now ma'am." The nurse who was in the room with her and had come to check on the patient's vitals, informed her.

"Alright, thank you." Alegria answered to which the nurse nodded and walked towards the door after making sure that everything she had come to do was done to the best effort.
