Chapter 35.

As George kept on following the man, he was attacked again, when he looked back he discovered the man he was following was one of the masked men.

George stumbled down the lonely street, nursing his bruises and cuts. He couldn't believe what had just happened. He had been so foolish to follow the man, and now he had not only lost the briefcase but also disclosed the owner's identity to the masked men.

He looked up and saw the same masked man standing in front of him, a smug look on his face.

"Didn't think it would be that easy, did you?" the man sneered.

George gritted his teeth in pain but managed to speak through his clenched jaw. "Who are you, people? What do you want?"

The masked man chuckled. "We want what's ours," he said. "And you, George, just made it a whole lot easier for us to get it."

George tried to stand up straight, but his legs were shaky. "I don't understand," he said. "What did I do? Haven't you gotten what you wanted?"
