The summer breeze whooshed past George's face as he stepped out of the compound of the Melmer's Mansion.

"The smell of summer is so nice," He said out loud to no one in particular. "It smelled especially nice today" He noted again, smiling sadly.

He took in a deep breath of the summer's fresh air, and it felt so calming, so soothing. It went through his lungs, down to his veins, and deep down his core with a new level of relief. Finally, he was free from the shackles of the Melmer family and their bitter hatred towards him.

He looked behind him, at the mansion, promising himself that it was the last time he was going to ever look back at it. The sad smile on his face vanished instantly, and the pain was evident in his eyes. The Mansion held a lot of memories for him.

Sir Matt had always tried to treat him like his own biological son, even when the whole family had been so opposed to the idea of making him marry Anna, Sir Matt had still stood by him then.
