Alex stared at the check Damian had just given him. His eyes were still perfectly open. In fact, his jaw almost dropped.

"O-one million dollars?" Alex read the amount on the check with a slight stutter.

Everyone, of course, heard Alex's words. Everyone made eye contact. However, some of them gave him a dismissive look.

"That's, of course, impossible. A million dollars is not a small amount of money. So how come he has it and will give us the money?" Danny spoke in a loud voice. He was very dismissive of Damian on that point.

"Yes, a million dollars is a lot of money. He's just a lowly worker who doesn't have that kind of money. He's no different from Alex. I think he wrote something on the fake check." Bian underestimated him, too.

Bian hurriedly took the check from Alex to make sure. He examined the check carefully and correctly saw the amount of one million dollars there.

"Is this real? I don't think so." Bian spoke in a sarcastic voice.

His gaze was still examining the check
