Henry's voice shook the surroundings. They couldn't believe he would be this stupid. Mr. Dawson clapped with joy.
“So be it. As the eldest son of the Tucker family, your words are the same as your father's. The duel will take place in the Dawson training hall, and it is scheduled for five days from now. Is that agreeable?”
Henry nodded. He knew Mr. Dawson was after the land. There was nothing they could do anyway. Rather than give it up easily, he would fight for it.
Henry helped his father up.
“Dad, it's okay.”
Mr. Tucker inhaled deeply. He was only pretending to be dumb. He knew what Mr. Dawson wanted, but that land was meant for Lora’s treatment. He couldn't believe they lost it. They had failed Lora.
“You are awake.”
“Yes.”
Derek stepped toward them.
“Better start training, moron. I can't wait to kick your ass.”
Henry didn't listen to him. He helped Lora up and placed her back in her wheelchair.
She hadn't said anything since, and it hurt him.
They left immediately.
Mr. Dawson stared at Henry. He could feel a strange presence from the boy. Before, he looked like a normal human, but now he had the scent of a mage, and he had seen Derek attack earlier.
How come Derek's strike had no effect on him?
He stared at Derek. The boy had been slacking recently.
It was time he gave him some magical tools that would boost his levels. He must kill that scumbag in the duel.
Henry drove Lora home. His father was taking the lead, and he hadn't said anything since they left Mr. Dawson's mansion.
Henry moved faster to catch up with him.
“Dad, trust me. I know what that land is meant for. I won't let Derek win. I will win.”
Mr. Tucker forced a smile.
“I know you can. You just have to train harder than him.”
“I will do my best. I promise I won't let this family down.”
Mr. Tucker tapped Henry on his shoulder.
“I trust you.”
Even if Henry was at the same rank as Derek, there was no chance he would win.
The Dawson family was extremely rich. They could buy magical items that would speed up their son's leveling rate, and worst of all, magical jewelry, which not only boosted the holder's level but also increased stamina, reflexes, and strength.
Henry stood no chance against Derek.
He didn't blame him. There was no way to keep the land anyway, but he didn't want to see his son get humiliated.
Mr. Tucker stopped walking. His voice was calm and neutral.
“Henry. I am proud of you.”
He faced Henry.
“You are a good son.”
Mr. Tucker walked away after saying that. Even though Henry awakened the weakest rank in the world, he had never let what people said get to him. Instead, he fought for what he wanted.
He wished he had that kind of heart before, but it was not too late now. He must make sure Henry goes to the academy, and he would pay for Lora’s treatment.
Henry stared at his father. He wondered why he said those words, but they touched his heart gently. He held back his tears and vowed not to let Derek win. He must win the duel for his family's sake.
“It's okay, brother. I don't mind being like this forever. I am used to it anyway.”
“You won't be like this forever. Don't say that again. As soon as I become a mage, I am taking you to the best mage healer in Blue Terrain.”
“Hahaha, in the country?”
“Yes, so don't worry.”
“Okay, brother. I will wait.”
Henry took Lora home. He immediately went to their backyard to start his training.
He must level up his fire skills. He knew the resources Derek would be getting. He couldn't level up his class since he didn't have any magical items, nor had he killed any monsters.
The only thing he could level up now was his normal skills, which would require a lot of practice.
Henry believed that if he trained for five days straight, he could level up his skills to the point of firing many at once or using them continuously.
Currently, he had only one skill. Until he reached level two in class, he couldn't unlock more skills.
Henry inhaled deeply.
“Fire Magic: Cube.”
A mini cube of fire appeared in Henry's hand, then he threw it into the air.
“Explosion!”
The cube of fire exploded in the air, forming a bright, small circle of flames.
Henry's cheeks moved as he felt the pressure. He could see a drastic change in his magic. Before, it barely formed a circle. Now, it exploded a little.
Henry was excited by this. Skill power usually depended on the class of the mage. If it were Derek using his explosion skill, the impact would have been five to six times greater. However, he was happy his skill had improved.
He faced the wooden human figure in front of him.
“Explosion!”
Henry sent the cube flame toward the wooden figure.
It exploded on impact, but the flame vanished immediately. There was no damage except a little black smoke.
Henry gazed down in disappointment. He must do better.
He continued training until the next morning. Henry rested to have breakfast before starting again.
He wasn't going to give up. He would train for four days, then use the last day to prepare.
He was still practicing his skills when Jeremy dashed toward him.
“Henry…”
He couldn't finish his words. He was shivering with fear.
“What is it?”
Henry was worried by his attitude.
“The gold mine… a monster has appeared in the gold mine. Your dad is rumored to be there.”
Henry's heart skipped. He ran to the road immediately. His heart pounded as he moved toward the protective wall.
He couldn't believe his father had gone outside the protective wall.
The gold mine was rumored to be some distance away from the wall.
A few days ago, some bounty hunters entered the outside zone to hunt monsters. Monster crystals were used to create magical items and jewelry, so big companies paid bounty hunters to gather a certain number of crystals.
The bounty hunters consisted of high class mages. They were the only ones allowed outside the wall.
They spotted a gold mine and informed the military. The military would be coming to take control of the area in a few days.
Henry couldn't believe his father had used the secret passage to go there because he wanted to save his family from this disaster.
He reached the secret section of the wall and entered the password. Only high officials knew it. His father had been lucky to overhear it, yet he had always ridiculed anyone who dared go outside the wall.
Who would have thought he would be the one to go?
Henry's eyes were wet.
A portion of the wall opened like a door, and he entered quickly before anyone noticed. There were supposed to be guards there, but surprisingly, no one was present.
Henry passed through a tunnel before emerging on the other side of the wall.
His heart tightened as the air brushed against his clothes.
He was outside the protective wall for the first time, and anything could go wrong at any moment. The biggest problem was t
hat he didn't even know where the gold mine was located.
Henry stepped forward, and a screen appeared in front of him.

These humans are bastards
Lora was shaking in her spot when Diego turned to face her. She subconsciously stepped backwards in fear, and an evil smile crept onto Diego's face.He said as he slowly approached Lora.“There is no need to step backwards, little lamb. There is nowhere you can run to that I can't run to as well. I know you are afraid of dying, but that was your fate the moment you were born as a human being. If you were born as monster, that would've been different. You would've been strong and immune to death.Your friend over there fought a good fight, but he still ended up dying.”Diego stopped approaching and continued.“Monsters do die, so you don't think am not being obvious of the hundreds of monsters that have died on this very ground, but just as hundreds of monsters have died on this floor, over a million humans have died on this ground as well.So you can see that the numbers are not worth an argument. The monsters that fell into the hands of humans are simply the ones that couldn't work
Out Of Gas
Helen was breathing heavily as she stared down at the monster body which was dissipating into dust. The monster's body was completely wiped to black dust and Helen fell to her knees at that moment. She fell to her knees and continued to breathe heavily. Her body couldn't contain the energy that was running through her, and the fight wasn't over. Henry was still dropped inside the monster belly. She had to save him.Helen slowly tried to stand up and her body was emitting a large form of hot stream. As she stood up back to her feet, she almost fell to the ground again, but she managed to stand completely on her feet.“I must save Henry”Helen said as she squeezed both of her fist hard and she turned to face the direction the giant worm that had swallowed Henry was.Her vision was blurry when she faced the direction and it became clear in an instant.Helen felt total silence in the premises at that moment. She held her breathing and focused all her energy in her ears, she was trying to
Our Source Of Strength!
Ava straightened up on her spot at that moment. She had practically just frozen time. Her freezing skill caused everything under her territory to be unable to move, unless the thing had a stronger aura than her.Although Helen was strong, she was stronger than Helen and she wanted Helen to realize that before killing her. Freezing Helen was one of them, the second was killing Helen without Helen being able to do anything. The dark blades on the sky started circling at that moment and with each passing second they were circling faster than before.“This is what true power really looks like Helen, it's not about pushing yourself back to your feet, it's about being in control of everything and never for once falling to your knees!”The moment Ava said the words. She snapped her fingers towards Helen.“You tried to attain something you are not, but are still just a human being. This is where it ends human creation!”The dark blades instantly covered Helen at that moment. Helen did freeze
The superior Being Always Wins
According to everything this human should be dead already. Ava couldn't believe what was happening in front of her. Helen was standing fully despite the large wounds on her stomach, and Ava could tell that Helen had several broken bones inside her body, not to talk about the amount of blood Helen had lost.It was too true to believe in Ava's eyes. To her Helen had developed into something else.Something that scattered all her ideology and calculation about humans to the ground.“There is no way I am giving up in this lifetime!”Helen coughed out a mouthful of blood as she took a different stance from the one she took when she stood up.“Water control: a million slashes!”Immediately Helen triggered the skill, the whole surroundings started experiencing a shock wave, that even Ava subconsciously stepped backwards out of fear. She stood when she noticed that she just stepped backwards out of fear and her eyes burst open in shock. Not only was Helen able to stand up to her feet, she ha
I Bet Henry Is Still On His Feet
“I am afraid I shouldn't be expecting a response from that. You don't want to die talking, but you want to stand up and even die much painful and faster. humans, such a pathetic creatures. I will just end your life right away, put you away from this delusion of a miracle happening”Ava moved her hands and her dark form of energy started forming in front of her.“I am alive when I am on my feet.”Helen suddenly voiced out at that moment, causing Ava to stop the skill she was about to unleash.“You finally gave up”Ava said with a big smile on her face, but her smile slowly faded away when Helen started pressing her hands on the floor to stand up once again.cough!Cough!Cough!Helen coughed several mouthfuls of blood as she tried to make it back to her feet.“There is a chance of winning if I am on my feet.”Helen said and she coughed out blood again and again. Ava's smiling face had disappeared at this moment. Instead she had a face of astonishment. Given Helen's wounds, she should
I Refuse This Ending
‘This can't be the end, not after everything I have been through. I refuse this ending. I refuse to accept this ending’ ‘My life can't end this way!’ Helen tried to stand up to her feet once more, but she fell to the ground again. She had been beaten to a pulp by the monster, Ava, who was standing right in front of her. ‘Shit!’ Helen cursed as her body let her down once more. She fell flat on the ground when she tried to stand up again. Her hands couldn't support her motion anymore, and her legs were vibrating inside. There was no way she would be able to walk on her feet even if she was to stand up halfway. Helen buried her face on the ground at that moment. ‘I don't accept this. I don't accept this at all. BUT MY BODY WON'T MOVE!’ She said with tears streaming down her face. ‘I reject this! I reject this ending! BUT THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO!” “Why, Why, Why, WHY! WHY DOES IT ALWAYS HAS TO BE LIKE THIS!’ ‘I am an S ranked mage for crying out loud. How could I still be bow
