After walking around the city a little bit, I made my way to the adventurers guild. No one batted an eye as I entered. Oh well. I made my way straight to the quest board. It was a bit more populated than it was last time. I scanned the board, looking at the ranks of each quest. I noticed that the 'Kill Cahrles Agassi" quest from last time was not there anymore. Like last time, almost all of the quests were A or S rank. I assumed that the lower ranked quests were probably instantly taken by many of the lower ranked adventurers. [Quest - Obtain the horn of a Qlipha Dragon Reward - 35 gold coins Rank - A] It looked like an interesting quest, though I was pretty sure my rank wasn't high enough to take it. I continued scouring the board. [Quest - Kidnap Christa Pelerine Reward - 45 gold coins Rank - A] I guess nothing was off the table when it came to quests... Hopefully I can find a less risky one. [Quest - Collect 60kg of green slime Reward - 1 gold coin Rank - C] Hold o
It wasn't long before we arrived at the capital. "We're at the adventurers guild now." "Thank you." I got off and made my way inside. I walked over to the quest woman and showed her my basket of slime. She observed it for a little while. "Very well done, just a moment." She walked into the back and pulled a very large bucket and a scale. I poured the slime out of my basket and into the bucket, making sure to get as much in as possible. I heaved the bucket onto the scale. "63.4kg. That's enough, you can keep the rest" The quest lady scooped some slime back into my basket. The guild woman turned around. "Lenne, I'm going to need you to carry this for me!" While she waited for her assistant to come over, she opened a safe and pulled out a gold coin. "Can you give it to me in eleven silver and five bronze." "Sure." She put the gold coin back in and pulled out a handful of silver and gold coins. Eventually her assistant came over and picked up the bucket of slime, I handed them
Hey "Go for it, forget anything else, I'll clean up the mess you'll make, so go at it with everything you've got" These are the words you said to me, Rin. So now it's my turn to help you, go for it, fight with everything you've got. ** "Chloe, hand me my sword.""Ok.""Universal Sword, First Form, Unstable Current." In one swift current, the enemy was split into two.It wasn't long before I was attacked again, however. "Royal Arts, Explode." A huge explosion cleared the farmhouse, blowing it to smithereens. The Royal Guard was struggling to keep up and was being pursued by three very powerful attackers. I could see an immense aura protruding out of their bodies. "Watch out, these are Satellites! They're kill you in seconds if you're not careful." Suddenly I noticed one of them transmuting a clump of aura into something that looked like a portal. Almost in unison, I felt a sharp stinging pain on my side. I looked to see that my shirt had a splatter of blood on it, my own blood
We stumbled our way back up the hill. "Are you okay Ritsu?" My arm was resting on her shoulders. I felt bad for weighing her down so much but there wasn't much I could do. I could barely walk even after using her as a arm-hold. "Yeah, for the most part." I seriously doubted my ability to make it back to the capital. I assumed that Mal sent me with her to act as a guard or something, but in this condition, all I would be being is a burden. "What are we going to do after this?" "I'm not sure yet." I had also though about what was going to happen now. My main mission was to protect Lucia, so I was thinking of staying by her side as much as I could. I'm unsure of how she felt about me at the moment though. Chloe was still wearing her caretaker clothes from the orphanage. It was some pretty dull brown colours but it suited her quite well. The skirt was very long, almost past her knees. "By the way, I remember that you told me you had a weapon?" "Yeah I do, but I left it in the orp
It was the first and only time I would ever take a bus. It was a warm summer day, near early January. I took my seat on the public bus which I had never once experienced before. The seats seemed oddly placed, with some facing each other, whilst some faced the front. They were all a bright orange-y colour with various playful patterns. It had a welcoming feel, unlike the transport I was used to. There were sections marked out for those with disabilities and those who are physically disadvantaged. As I took my seat near the back, I noticed there were a few other students, all attending the same school I was. They were scrolling through their phones, something I took no interest in. I leaned my head against the window and looked out to see the blur of buildings and cars which moved past in my line of sight. The bright summer sun shined brightly against the road, causing a little refraction which obstructed the view of distances far away. The vivid green trees and lush greenery would si
I opened my eyes only to be met by a relatively dark room. My entire body was bandaged yet again. It seemed that it was either dusk or dawn, I wasn't sure which. I had been asleep for a period of time. No one seemed to be in the room with me, it was honestly kind of lonely. My entire body was still sore and I could hardly move, so I decided to just stay on the bed and ponder about all the things that had happened to me throughout this new life of mine. It wasn't until almost an hour later, when someone finally came into the room. "Are you feeling better now?" It was the same doctor who had first treated me. "Yeah, a little bit." "Would you be able to get up and walk?" "Maybe." My entire body ached as I manoeuvred myself off the bed. It was pretty painful to sit up but I still pushed myself to do so. "Just wait here, I'll get a carriage so we can transport you to the other facility." "Thank you." I wondered how much this would all cost. "You're carriage is ready!" I wadd
I could walk with relative stability at this point. Mal was in the room just next to ours so it wasn't a great distance I need to travel. After entering the room, I was met by a man on the brink of death. His condition looked even worse than mine when I was first admitted. His entire body was covered with bandages, all of which were stained with a deep red. It seemed he was either asleep or unconscious. I had recovered to the point where I could move around. It probably wasn't long until I was on my way again. Considering our current situation, I was practically out of money again. There wasn't much for me to do here, since he was unconscious, as I left the room Lily followed me out. "You should probably get some more rest as well." I had pretty much had enough of lying in a hospital bed. It was true that my condition wasn't optimal however so I needed to come up with something to do. I turned to Chloe. "Can you ask the doctor if he has any more pain killers?" "What are you plan
We stayed at the mansion for two more days. Lucia played with the children a lot during these two passing days. I had a suspicion that she already knew what was going to happen. I thought about maybe bringing one or two of them, but in the end, it would likely be even more cruel than not and they would make the escape much harder. No one told her about the plan, in case she decided to resort to some rather extreme measures in order to protect the children. I spent most of my days walking around the mansion with Muichiro and Lily, we kept a look out to see if there were any advances by Reid's army. The plan actually hoped for Reid and Daario's armies to come into contact with each other near the centre of Gavaria. This way, due to their already poor relations, it might work in weakening them. Not much was told about what I was meant to do after finding Alfonso. Muichiro had told me that he was a powerful Warrior, on par with Mal. Although at best it would just delay Reid should he a
