Chapter 74: Loreana’s Past – Conclusion

"When I regained consciousness, I discovered that I was in an enclosed space. Only after I heard the noise and felt the motion did I realize that I was in a carriage.

I tried to move, but the slightest movement caused me pain. I guessed it must have been due to the turbulent waves that battered my body after we jumped down that waterfall.

I wanted to go outside and search if the person driving was Uncle Benny. But I was having trouble gathering strength, so I kept resting till I fell asleep. I had also made an effort to use the tiny bit of energy I had felt earlier to assist me get through the discomfort before going to sleep.

The next time I opened my eyes, it was already morning. Although my body continued to feel frail, the ache was gone.

The moment I considered leaving, the carriage stopped. Soon, I heard some footsteps coming closer, as the door to the carriage opened amidst my anticipation.
