Hidden Memories

The safehouse was dimly lit, shadows playing across the walls as Emma lay on the couch, her forehead beaded with sweat. She shifted uneasily, her eyes flickering beneath closed lids as fragmented memories flitted through her mind. Adrian watched her from a nearby chair, concern etched deep into his features.
