Shawn gaped at that. "You're lying, aren't you?"

Shawn's eyes fluttered as he asked. What should Shawn do? During the time he lived with his foster family, Shawn hardly ever felt the warmth of family. When he was little he was often bullied by Ryan and his friends, when he grew up he was always blackmailed by his adoptive mother. Everything was so hard for Shawn to go through until he finally met Rachel and got a system in his life. With the system, at least Shawn can get a better life even though he doesn't get the warmth of family.

As for this one, suddenly someone came to Shawn and said that he was Shawn's family, of course Shawn didn't know how to respond to this.

Shawn looked into the old man's eyes. Their eyes met and he could see how the old man's eyes glazed over as he looked at Shawn. There was a deep longing there, to the point that Shawn felt the coldness of loneliness creeping into his heart.

The warm words
