Shawn saw Jerome's father lying comatose on a bed with an IV and several breathing machines. Jerome's father was like this because of the accident he had been involved in.

Jerome looked worried as he stood up to see his father who was unconscious. "This is how my father is now, Shawn. I'm doing everything I can to help him recover quickly."
