Chapter 23

Shawn had been set and ready to return to school. Everything had been ready for his return but it remained to see if he was going to be able to face the crowd of students waiting to film and ask an unnecessary question. . . And especially his haters jeering and mocking him.

He had packed his bags and was about to leave when he was called back immediately.

"Son! You must let the driver take you," Shawn's mum said.

It was the first time she spoke on his matter. It felt as though she had only let Shawn's father do the job for her this time.

"Okay, mum!" Shawn replied as he got into the car which had been already ready to move. In no time, they were almost at school.

"There!" Shawn pointed at the building as the driver drew closer and closer. He pulled over and Shawn got out to see Mike and Leah already waiting. He had a weird feeling because of the hug he had gotten from Leah the other day but he quickly waved it off.

"Are you ready?" Mike asked Shawn as he pointed to the crow
