Darian’s question startled Yara. She hadn’t expected Darian to have such abilities. She paused for a moment, then shook her head. “No,” she answered, her voice slightly trembling. “I’ve never used illegal drugs. I don’t know how the narcotic got into my body.”

A look of astonishment was clear on Yara’s face. She was becoming even more curious about Darian’s abilities. She realised that she had met someone extraordinary.

“And how can you be sure that I used narcotics…? I’ve never used them,” Yara asked, her voice curious and slightly shy. She was amazed by Darian’s extraordinary abilities.

Darian gave a slight smile, trying to ease the tension. “Sorry,” he said, “when I helped you, I had to perform artificial respiration by kissing your lips. I have an ability that allows me to detect certain chemical traces. The drug you ingested left a unique residue that my very sensitive sense of smell can detect, even through the faint aroma and taste left in your mouth.”

Darian’s answer left Yara speechless. Her face flushed, feeling her heart race uncontrollably. She hadn’t expected Darian to reveal that so directly and with such a scientific explanation. “You... you... kissed me...” she whispered, her voice almost inaudible. “Do you know... that was my first kiss?”

The atmosphere in the room shifted. From curiosity and tension, it turned into an unexpected warmth and romance mixed with a little surprise and embarrassment. They both fell silent, feeling a new wave of emotions between them, interspersed with the realisation of Darian’s extraordinary ability.

“I’m sorry,” Darian said softly, trying to ease the awkwardness that suddenly appeared. “At that time, your condition was very bad. Also, your breath was very weak because of the smoke. So, I had no choice but to do that.” He looked into Yara’s eyes, trying to convey the sincerity of his words.

Silence once again enveloped the room, filled only with the sound of their hearts beating. Then Darian continued, “Try to remember… maybe during the dinner with some clients, someone offered you a drink or food?”

Darian’s question made Yara think again. She tried to recall the details of the dinner. Perhaps there was something she missed in her memory. She worked hard to remember every detail, every conversation, and every dish served. Was there something suspicious? Was there anyone acting strange or suspicious? These questions swirled in her mind.

Yara frowned, trying to recall the details of the dinner. One by one, memories began to surface: the lively atmosphere of the restaurant, the laughter and jokes of the clients, the luxurious dishes served. However, nothing seemed suspicious. Everything seemed normal.

Suddenly, something crossed her mind. A client, a middle-aged man in an expensive suit with a friendly smile, had offered her a glass of red wine. She remembered refusing it because she didn’t particularly like red wine. But the man insisted, saying that it was the best wine from a famous vineyard. She remembered the man pouring the wine into his glass and then offering it to her again. And... she remembered drinking it.

“I remember…” Yara whispered, her voice trembling. “A client offered me red wine. I refused at first, but he insisted. And... I drank it.”

A suspicion began to form in her mind. Could the wine have been laced with narcotics? Could the man have put the drugs in her drink? These questions filled her thoughts. She looked at Darian.

“It’s possible, Yara,” Darian said, his voice calm but confident. “You need to remember who he is. Try to recall his name and face. Look into his reputation and character. That way, you’ll find your answer.”

Yara nodded, trying to remember the details of the man. She worked hard to recall his name and face. However, her memory was still vague. She only remembered that the man was wearing an expensive suit, had short, neat hair, and a smile that seemed friendly yet somewhat mysterious.

“I... I don’t remember his name,” Yara said, her voice full of frustration. “His face is also vague. But... I remember he mentioned his name several times during the conversation. I need to find him.”

Determination burned in Yara’s eyes. She had to find this man and uncover the truth behind what happened. She wouldn’t let herself be a victim without fighting back.

She would use all the resources at her disposal to find this man and uncover his motives.

“Don’t push yourself too hard, Yara,” Darian said, his voice gentle and caring. “Rest for now. Calm yourself. I’m sure you’ll remember and be able to look into the person’s details. You can investigate who was present and who invited you. Later, after you’ve recovered and back to work, I’m sure your secretary can help you.”

Yara was very grateful for Darian’s advice and guidance. His calmness and confidence gave her newfound strength. She felt relieved to have found someone reliable, someone not only with extraordinary abilities but also with genuine empathy and care.

After a moment of silence, Yara noticed Darian looking a little tired and weary. Her thoughts drifted back to her conversation with Dr. Anita earlier about Darian still searching for a place to stay. Sympathy and concern arose within her.

“By the way, Darian,” Yara started, her voice soft, “where are you staying now? I know from Dr. Anita that you’re looking for a place.” She hesitated for a moment, watching Darian’s expression.

Seeing the slight unease on Darian’s face, Yara continued more confidently, “How about you stay at my villa? It’s located on the outskirts of Javaris City, quite peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The villa is quite large and comfortable, and it’s often empty. I’m sure you’ll feel at home there.”

The villa wasn’t just a luxurious place to stay on the outskirts of town; it was Yara’s escape—a place she chose to go when everything in the outside world became too much to handle.

The villa had everything needed for peace: solitude, beautiful views, and distance from the city’s noise.

But more importantly, the villa was a place far from the turmoil that often haunted Yara’s life—whether it was problems from the company she worked for or her complicated family relationships.

At the villa, Yara could breathe freely, away from the pressures that sometimes became overwhelming, whether from her career demands or the personal issues always looming.

She often found herself at the villa, especially after frustrating meetings at the office or arguments with her family that never ended well.

The villa became her refuge, a place where she could unload her burdens and try to find peace within herself.

When she offered the villa to Darian, she felt a deep sense of comfort. Not only because Darian had extraordinary powers that she admired, but because of him, Yara felt there was someone she could truly trust.

Darian, so simple yet holding wonders within his silence, gave Yara a sense of safety she hadn’t felt in a long time.

Yara’s offer surprised Darian, not only because of her kindness but also because of the closeness that had suddenly developed between them.

He hadn’t expected Yara to offer him a place to stay, an act that showed trust and deep sincerity. However, he realised that Yara was indeed sincere in her offer, one that came from sympathy and perhaps a newly growing affection.

He accepted the offer gladly, not just because of his need for a place to stay but also because he knew that staying at Yara’s villa would make it easier for him to investigate this case further and, most importantly, spend more time with Yara.

He felt there was a special bond forming between them, a connection that went beyond just gratitude.

“Thank you, Yara,” Darian said, his voice sincere. “Your offer means a lot to me. I will gladly accept it.” He felt relieved to have found a comfortable and safe place to stay. Additionally, being closer to Yara would make it easier for him to investigate the case further.

Yara smiled, feeling the warmth growing between them. She felt comfortable and safe around Darian. There was something about him that made her feel protected and loved. This feeling was so new and unfamiliar to her.

The next day, Darian moved into Yara’s villa. The villa was indeed very luxurious and comfortable. Located on the outskirts of the city, it offers beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere.
