Darian felt the change. His body felt more substantial. Something flowed within him, a power that felt alien yet undeniably real. He felt an energy that gave life, healed, and granted him new strength.

“And that’s not all,” the alien continued. “This new power comes from the connection between your body, the onyx necklace, and our technology. The necklace is a symbol of the legacy we’ve given you. Now, Darian, you must learn to control it.”

Darian nodded slowly, though his heart was still filled with confusion and fear of what was to come. The gentle voice resonated again in his mind, making him feel more connected to this new power.

“Darian, your power didn’t just appear. It’s the result of a long process, starting with the necklace. We connected you to us, and now you must prepare yourself for the greater challenges.”

Darian stared blankly ahead. He felt tossed between awe and fear, realising he was now more than just an ordinary human.

“Welcome, Darian,” a gentle, friendly voice echoed in his mind. The voice was clear as if penetrating the walls of his thoughts, startling him and bringing him fully alert. “I am Kai, your virtual assistant.”

Darian still felt dazed, his mind reeling, but his body felt more assertive, more responsive. The new energy flowed within him, giving him a sensation he had never experienced.

“Virtual assistant?” he asked, his voice hoarse and heavy.

“Yes,” Kai replied, the voice filling his mind's space as if filling every corner. “I am programmed to help you control your new abilities and guide you on your upcoming journey. I’m here to ensure you don’t fall into completely unforeseen ruin.”

Darian looked around the chamber, trying to understand what had happened to him. “New abilities?” He frowned, sensing something odd within his body.

Kai continued, a calm yet clear voice sounding in his mind. “X-ray vision, hypnosis, telekinesis. These powers are awakened within you and will grow stronger over time. All this is part of our race’s legacy, the technology we have implanted in your body.”

Darian nodded slowly, awe mixed with fear. The newly realised power felt so alien, so immense. “How do I control it?” he asked, his tone now filled with anxiety.

“Now, let’s try your telekinesis,” Kai said enthusiastically. “Imagine an object in this room, and move it with your mind. Feel the energy flowing and focus your intention.”

Darian looked at a small vase near the table. With mixed feelings, he tried to concentrate, imagining the vase moving.

Before, he didn’t know if the power truly existed within him. Slowly, the vase began to float, moving gently in the air as if lifted by his own will.

Darian was shocked. He had succeeded! A surprised smile appeared on his face, but the happiness quickly vanished as an excruciating pain struck his head.

It felt as if his head were splitting, and blood began to trickle from his nose. His power felt wild, uncontrolled, like a current too strong to contain.

“Darian, stop!” Kai cried out in his mind, his voice filled with worry. “You must learn to control it, or this power will destroy you. Don’t let yourself be carried away, or it will all be in vain.”

Darian fell to his knees, trying to calm himself, but the power still pulsed within him, growing stronger with each passing moment.

He felt as if his body was no longer his own but a tool used by a much greater force. “What’s happening to me?” Darian groaned confusion and fear overwhelming him.

After several intensive training sessions, Darian began to feel a change within himself. His new abilities, once alien and terrifying, were now becoming manageable.

With the guidance of Kai, his virtual assistant who constantly provided instructions and strategies, Darian became increasingly proficient in mastering telekinesis, hypnosis, and x-ray vision. Each day, he felt more substantial and aware of his immense potential.

But besides learning to control his new abilities, Darian received a more valuable lesson: information about his enemies.

The “Darkness Wanderers” supposedly possess dark powers that threaten life in this world, and the “Silent Circle is a mysterious organisation tasked with maintaining the balance between the real world and the energy world.

Kai provided crucial information about strategies to defeat them, but Darian knew that strength and courage would determine whether he could survive in this world of threats.

After training, Kai took Darian to the lounge area of the ship. As soon as they entered, Darian was surprised to see creatures from various species that looked alien and amazing.

There were creatures resembling giants, luminous insects, plants that moved like humans, and even abstract forms as if they were energy entities challenging to describe.

All the creatures seemed unsurprised to see Darian, and they communicated fluently in various languages that Darian couldn’t understand.

“This is a place where various species from across the universe gather,” Kai said, stepping closer to Darian.

“All these beings, from the most primitive to the most advanced, can speak easily thanks to bio-sonic technology.”

Darian was still stunned, his eyes scanning each creature present. “Bio-sonic?” he asked, still slightly confused.

Kai smiled. “This technology analyses brainwaves and translates them into languages all species understand. Thousands, even millions of languages, have been implanted in your brain through this system. You can now communicate with anyone, anywhere.”

“Not only that,” Kai explained earnestly, “this bio-sonic technology isn’t limited to intelligent species. It can even translate non-verbal forms of communication, such as signals and animal pheromones. So, yes, Darian, you can also communicate with animals worldwide.”

Darian fell silent momentarily, imagining how he could communicate with various types of creatures, including animals he had only understood through their sounds and movements.

“But remember,” Kai continued, “understanding doesn’t always mean you can communicate effectively.

Some species—including some animals in your world—have very complex communication methods, which may be challenging to understand fully, even with this technology.”

Darian nodded, trying to grasp Kai’s explanation. “Then, how do I train this ability?”

Kai pointed to one of the insect-like creatures communicating with another creature, emitting a very strong odour.

“That’s an insect used for training communication with pheromones. They use a pheromone and vibration-based communication system that’s quite simple, so you can start practising here.”

Darian stepped closer to the insect, observing its movements. The insect seemed to move very organised, signaling through pheromones spreading in the air.

“Once you activate this bio-sonic technology,” Kai continued, “you can ‘hear’ their communication. You might feel a certain sensation within yourself—like information entering your mind, explaining their behaviour.”

Darian nodded, then closed his eyes, trying to focus on the almost inaudible sounds. Slowly, he began to feel the energy waves connecting with the insect.

He could sense their movements and every change in their communication patterns, although he couldn’t fully understand what they were saying.

“Don’t worry,” Kai said, as if able to read his confusion. “Your abilities will develop over time. This is just the first exercise, and you’ll get used to this communication.”

Darian opened his eyes, smiling slightly. Even though it was his first time, he felt as if a new connection had been formed, not only with that creature but with a world far broader and more complex than he had ever imagined.
